The entirety of the Narrativist Framework was hashed out over the course of about 3 years of debating my ideas back and forth, what you see on my blog did not spring forth in one great burst of effort but was rather the distillation of millions of words of active discussion. This threas originally started out as something of a vanity project, an experiment in seeing how far a (self-aware) schizophrenic could take developing a conceptual framework like this. All these ideas are Concepts I developed during the course of several years of therapy, when I was the program in myself from my own experiences having been raised in an authoritarian cult. I think ot is worth mentioning that despite my lack of academic credentials there have been a number of individuals who posted back in the old threa and/or have pm'ed me that credited my ideas with helping them deradicalize, and people who have direct experience with extremist groups have frequently told me that my work helped them process their own experiences. (Particularly in the exvangelical community). But in order for this project to work and requires a certain amount of people accepting this all for what it is and collectively running with the experiment. This is more about creating practical tools and ways for understanding the radicalization process in the extreme is mine said that it is creating an academically rigorous hypotheses. I'm not an academic, and I'm not particularly trying to be one either. I believe my work may someday result in a formal academic theory, but to get there it needs further development. And because I'm not an academic, but rather a barely educated schizophrenic who has spent her life trying her damnedest to catch up, you got to give me a little bit of breathing room and how would I do things. I'm not at all unreasonable, and the old thread was quite famous for how well I handled critical feedback and disagreement. But those were disagreements over the substance of my ideas, and not demands that I premise everything in established academic literature. I'm coming at this all from a practical, experiential, organic intellectual perspective. Nothing in my work directly disagrees or contradicts established academic theories, what my work does is established associations between various behaviors, and makes a strong case for why these behaviors are related. My work isn't ready for submission to a university yet, I'm mostly trying to get it to the point where a formally trained academic could distill my work into an academic format. Getting there requires a certain level of engaging with me on my own terms- that's how the old thread worked and that's what made it such a success. I think one thing that hasn't really translated over from D&D to C-SPAM. Is that I spent literally years correctly anticipating the development of what we would now call Trumpism- as well as correctly anticipating how it would evolve and spread through the GOP. Not mind you, I didn't get everything right, because I'm not a prophet, I'm not a psychic. I have insight into these patterns because I've participated in them before, initially while being racing authoritarian called, and then later I experienced the online versions of these behaviors during my time in early 2000s era Otherkin cults. My insight into all this comes from spending years in therapy trying to understand why, despite leaving the cold I was raised in, I kept finding and recreating the same called like environment over and over. That was the initial impetus for the creation of the Narrativist Framework, it was a bunch of my own ideas I developed in trauma therapy (and kept to myself) about how cults/extremism functions, it was my way of understanding my own behavior and finding ways to recognize it so that I wouldn't fall into that trap again. Then in early 2015 I started to see signs that large portions of The Fringe year aspects of the right-wing media we're starting to go through the same kinds of behaviors that I had experienced prior in online cults. Even pre escalator I was arguing that there was an extremely high possibility that all the French aspects of the right-wing would 1.)unite behind a strong man, then 2.)effectively seize control of the party, before 3.) devoring the party establishment, then 4.)turning on the rest of us. I was talking about this months before the escalator, because initially Ted Cruz was the guy angling in to try gathering all the terrified right-wing extremists into his camp. I also quite accurately predicted Trump's Behavior, as well as getting into innumerable arguments (from 2016 on)with the dumbass centrists in D&D that American institutions were no match for a narcissist like Trump and/or the Psychopaths that would inevitably come to populate his inner circle. I also correctly anticipated the malheur occupation, and the steady rise of stochastic terrorism being committed by online radicalized white males. Again, I'm not a psychic. I'm a person who by sheer don't of bizarre circumstances- happens to have experienced these specific behaviour patterns in a couple of different social firmats, and was part of sort of the 1st online wave of this particular form of extremism during my time with the early Otherkin community. (I was also involved in the 2nd online wave of this form of extremism during my time as a 9/11 truther/an online organizer for Ron Paul's 2008 grift).
