I can feel the love in this thread as it comes to an end. I'm glad that we've all had such a great time in here over the past years. It's hard to believe how long I've been reading this crap and it was probably a gigantic waste of time, but I got to experience some great things here ranging from SC tonks to escape button hijinks and german commas. Love it.

Its impressive that they made 3.7 go up 45% thanks to the removal of a ton of poo poo but 3.8 still goes up 8% despite gaining a ton of poo poo from 3.7. None of that roadmap makes any sense because its all bullshit.

Hi I'm an agile product owner and I'm responsible for 7 different work backlogs and this is the stupidest loving thing I've ever seen. I've done pretty much every flavor of development- waterfall, Scrum, kanban, SAFe. If I tried to bring this concept to my business stakeholders I'd have to go look for a job at CIG because I'd be unemployed.

Not to mention there's no reason to tell your customers what your development methodology is unless you have a vested interest in pretending to have "open development," or you're excusing your failures. If this "new approach" (known in actual development circles as the "wrong and stupid approach") was so great, they should have used it years ago. So now I'm forced to conclude that CIG felt the need to provide the excuse. Which means they're feeling pressure, and no longer taking backer patience for granted like they have for so many years now. I'm looking forward to the engine change and how they'll spin it as a positive while fully overlooking the fact that people criticized their engine choice from the beginning yet they defended it viciously and without doubt.

Yes, that's CI-G's modus operandi: They stay silent until the idiots come up with and convince themselves with a narrative and then say that's exactly what happened. They have done that multiple times.
