Behold my surviving physical PS4 games

I think it's at least a pretty good variety.

Also, while I lost a lot, I really do have like literally hundreds of games to still play on PS4, so don't feel too bad or anything

Also I only lost like three or four switch games

whilst a mouse is a way better pointer, and even though i have a few functions buttons assigned, whenever i use my desktop i miss my laptop touchpad's programmable swipes and the multitouch functionality for quick zooming.

Best advice I was ever given?

"Ticker, you'll be a lot happier once you stop caring about the opinions of a culture that is beneath you."

I learned my worth, learned the places and people that matter.

Opened my eyes.
Mouse chat: I bought this model on a whim because it was cheaper than just a standard mouse and I don't think I can ever part with it, less because of the extra buttons and more because of the rest space for my thumb, ringer, and pinky. The normal buttons are also notched to accommodate the pointer and middle fingers.

A few of them are. That's just because I haven't played them yet though so there was no reason to unwrap them. As fond as I am of some of my older games, it's good that the survivors were mostly stuff I hadn't gotten to yet.

I've fixed this on multiple mice by opening it up and putting some aluminum foil over the white clicker button. Apparently it's something to do with static building which the foil seems to stop? Either way I've never had the problem return afterwards.

anyway the thing that wore out my mouse was a bunch of the messenger which is super solid even though i feel the level design/gameplay mechanics are a little weaker than hollow knight which it has a bit in common with. i’m going to have to double back and play shovel knight next i think

It's got a good battery life and a clicky scroll button that toggles it to smooth scroll (which means you can't use the click as a button in games but eh, gently caress it)

It also looks like it's outta new Deus Ex

my one quibble with logitech are their middle mouse buttons. maybe it's anecdotal, but all 3 of my mice from them suffered from some sort of issue with the scroll button. otherwise they've been great devices with matching customer service.

No that was a mid 00s PS2 spin off with online play (unless you were in a PAL region because gently caress you) which was apparently quite enjoyable. You're probably thinking of Operation Raccoon City (last gen consoles, bad) or Umbrella Corps (this gen, really bad, like 'how did this get released' bad)

The new one is apparently 4 Vs 1? It clearly worked out for Evolve so don't write it off just yet!

Asymmetric multi-player is such a fine line to walk because how can you ever make playing as the squad of "normal" players as fun as being the super powerful monster. I still don't think it's been done in a X v 1 pattern.

Orca lady?
Back from doing more hobbit fights in Totally Accurate Battle Simulator.

I have now tested every unit available thus far against the halfilings. The most effective at killing halfings is the Mammoth which is able to kill two hundred and fifty halflings before facing difficulty in it's battle against the hobbit horde. Rather suprisingly The Monkey King; know also as Buddha Victorious in Battle, can be felled merely by two hobbits all on their own. In single battle, The Bard and the halfing are in in stalemate, with the bard being able to move slightly faster than his opponent.
I have recorded videos of my experiments and will post them shortly.

halflings in blood bowl all start with dodge but have standard agility, lovely everything else, and weak armor, but they get a unique team advantage of being able to hire a halfling chef, who steals enemy rerolls each half, for 1/3 the cost. also they get two treemen (natural 6 strength). so essentially you try to use your cannon fodder toddlers to pick up the ball and run it down the field while the enemy coach can’t reroll anything.

YOU'RE DEAD ARMITAGE!

The best mouse I ever had is a SteelSeries Kana V2, it's been through 4 years of heavy use and still looks and works like new.

Before that I had a Razer Deathadder, which had problems with the plastic flaking off.

I've also had a Logitech MX500 and 518. Both failed within 6 months in the exact same way (microswitch failure in the right button), and both times warranty support ignored my e-mails and blackholed my calls until I gave up.

gently caress Logitech.

As games have moved more and more toward autosaving rather than manual saves, how do you think that's affected game design? I was thinking earlier about the freedom that Morrowind offers, and how it only works in the context of a game that expects you to reload a save if you screw yourself. Do you think that autosaving is leading designers to avoid permanent consequences in games?

Edit: I'm not saying autosaving is bad, I think it's a great game innovation. I just think it's interesting what a huge change that is and how ubiquitous and invisible it's been.

Most recent example I can think of is in Wolfenstein 2 when you stomp Hitler's face. They just reload the scene though.
