Does he like blues? King Hobo is pretty hard blues, featuring the drummer from Clutch and some other stoner rock dudes.

The Sword is very 70s metal throwback. Their first few albums anyway.

The most recent three Greenleaf albums are my favorites in the same spirit of 70s-sounding fuzzy rock. Very heavy on riffs, just enough solos.

I'm looking for more electronic music like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cyCtHcV0Y8 (Love the trumpet and I like German lyrics)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9gASGEHkww (I like acid house as long as it's playful/goofy like this)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kbIXqEdGqM (German lyrics, not too hard)
I also like repetitive house with string textures like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brZ_WBEzw6E
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKM_8dXD65U

Most of the things Spotify recommends (e.g.: Gesaffelstein) are too "edgy" or borderline unlistenable.

Elements of orchestral backing
Heavy, dirty intrusive synths
Thematically dark and grim

I haven't really paid attention to this kind of party-er Caribbean style stuff, but something that comes to mind:

the old Cumbia Bestial comp https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlboV3S1zw0
Ondatropica https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TKH8tFKHbE
the two Chicha Libre albums https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7SeOai_DOo
and some of the 60s - 70s style Peruvian stuff that they rip off https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLorCIJvF4w
maybe some stuff by Quantic? I can't really remember what he's done but I came across this mix https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QDM6Jca3gI
The rioplatense stuff is way more melancholic but for my money this poo poo is the coolest thing that's been done under the label of "digital cumbia" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJGL1hdl8Cw
the first two ZZK Sound compilations kick rear end iirc
and Nicola Cruz plays that kind of stuff though his own albums are boring https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B10_PrrvC74
