So what happened with Kinnock's amendment? Like literally what was the process by which it got through, because we seem to have just skipped over an amendment to a bill entering the process of law without being voted on. Was the speaker present? None of what anyone is saying makes sense.

They called for tellers for the No's and no one nominated themselves so that means there's no division and it's moved without a vote Basically if no one expresses opposition to a motion it always carries as it's unopposed in the house

There was an actual vote going in at the time, given that a nonzero number of people were still/again inside Bercows mini-me asked whoever was currently present to tell whether they were for or against, and no two people bothered to tell against.
