Turns out ZM boards are being redone in plastic.

do they still do the very annoying thing where it's 'last chance to buy' but they're only holding like 40 pieces of inventory that are immediately bought? that was always a cool thing

Even if it’s cast like rear end it’s still better than mdf

I guess 3d printing one that is almost an exact replica of the resin ones makes a lot more sense now... It went from being breaking even for buying a printer + printing a whole board to well you also can't even buy it anymore.

I have a magnetised modular MDF set that I regret getting. It’s easier to store and its neat to change the layout but MDF terrain is so flat and boring that I need to spend a solid couple of weeks detailing it myself now.

You're probably thinking of the cardboard ZM tiles from Necromunda or something - those were priced in that neighborhood.

Just get a dry erase board and draw your own walls. If it can work for d&d, it can work for ZM.

Battle Report! 2500 point kill point mission, Alpha Legion vs Dark Angels Hammer and Anvil deployment (short table edges, long narrow battlefield) The Alpha Legion needed to show that their undercover operatives were trustworthy by killing their own. Alpha Legion Forces: Warlord - Autilon Skorr (Chose night fighting + night vision warlord trait) Two 10 man assault squads 7 man destroyer squad with jump packs 10 Cataphractii Terminators 3 Suicide Sleds with multimeltas and graviton guns Sicaran Venator Sicaran Omega Allied Militia Force Commander (Alchem Jackers) Two 20 man grenadiers with 2 heavy stubbers each 2 Thudd Guns Aegis Defense Line Dark Angels Praetor with Terranic Greataxe (???) Armistos Consul Two 10 man tacticals in Rhinos Two 7 man plasma support squads with Apothecaries in Land Raiders 7 man Acid Heavy Bolter Squad Two Contemptor Mortis with two TL Lascannons 8 Destroyers with Jump Packs I infiltrated the 10 man cataphractii squad as close as possible, front and center. They ate the first two turns of shooting of the entire Dark Angels army and still had 2 guys standing who charged a plasma support squad with the enemy's praetor and murdered them all. Excellent distraction, A++ The destroyer squad advanced in the shadow of the terminators and were MVPs, killing a contemptor, a plasma support squad, and a tactical squad. Two assault squads outflanked and came in on the same side, overwhelming the other contemptor and heavy bolter squad. The sicaran venator spent the entire game missing shots, and the omega killed half a tactical squad, overheated to damage itself, but managed to survive the game. With no objectives to camp, the militia huddled in their barricades trying their best not to die and did a fairly good job at it. The plan went a little too well, as there were no operatives left to convince the Imperium that they were good guys. Ghazk fucked around with this message at 16:19 on Sep 13, 2019 |
