Haven’t seen the matches in question, but did they truly buy no kits at all? Often times, pro teams seem to be buying 2-3 kits at maximum, in the hopes of being able to pick them up from fallen teammates.

To be fair, I saw dupreeh forget to buy one when he had like 7k after buying, but he won the round anyway after finding one. Also, Astralis is back on top for sure if they can beat EG. As sad as I am to see NA CS continue to get stuffed repeatedly by Astralis, it's really amazing to watch greatness in action.

Hoping a dead thread for a dead game can help me with improving my FPS, as I just started playing again after many months and holy hell is it an annoying issue. It's already (and always has been) consistently low, averaging at around 40-50, but it's drat miserable when there's smokes and mollies out or during a firefight when it dips to the 20-30 range, even when the only things I have open are the game, Steam, and Discord. I imagine the root problem is my CPU from mid-2012 (3.3 GHz AMD FX-6100), but I wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else I could do before splurging on a new one as soon as I'm able. CS:GO settings are all on the lowest they can be for so-called "best performance," my GPU options (RX 480) are as well, and my launch options are as follows: -novid -freq 60 -nojoy -nod3d9ex -high -noforcemspd -noforcemouseaccel +cl_forcepreload 1 +mat_disable_fancy_blending 1.

Top of my head I don’t believe you want forcepreload. e: disabling the steam overlay in both general steam preferences and for csgo also gets me a ridiculous FPS increase for some reason PONEYBOY fucked around with this message at 05:50 on Oct 17, 2019 |

Remove all your startup options for starters. At best they’re just cargo cult nonsense, at worst they actually make things worse (like forcepreload).

If they can help at all, I included two screenshots of the stats counter at the bottom right I enabled years ago and now don't remember the proper name of. For reference, the first screenshot is looking to A from pit in D2 in a very empty Valve DM server, after getting rid of forcepreload and disabling the overlay. The second is in the same spot after doing everything else, in a packed Valve DM server.

Your CPU is real bad but I don't think you should be dropping under 60 fps on low. Run HWInfo and check the clockspeed and temps on both the CPU and GPU to make sure they're not overheating and throttling.

Reading your post reminded me I had Speccy installed, so I ran that quickly, and judging from what I'm seeing, that's got to be at least part of the problem. I'll pick up some compressed air sometime tomorrow, go to town on my PC, and see if there's a difference. Thanks!
