Holy poo poo, for the last month since seeing the initial recreation of the Homer binge, i thought the Simpsons did it as an actual tourism ad spot for New Orleans. I was wondering why people were so bothered by it, not that it was good, but it seemed like any other dumb commercial. It was actually for an episode that aired on TV?

When the Simpsons’ flight to Gainesville gets re-routed to New Orleans, Lisa is forced to face her failures, and regain her confidence as a jazz musician.
