Correct, the following seems fairly evident:

1. Clinton involvement with Epstein
2. Trump involvement with Epstein

However, there is no alignment between the two. After Trump's primary win the wheels were set in motion for his deposition. Hence, several cases from the mid 90s involving Trump resurface in 2016. Trump knows the scoop about Clinton. He pushes to reveal but doesn't make much headway. Nonetheless, enough for the Pizza-gate op (wag the dog and/or bring them down with you). Trump-involved court cases don't much come to public light (better media connections?) so the Clinton cabal moves to give up Epstein (CIA asset) so he can squeal. But he ends up in a NY prison where Trump knows enough people to get him offed.

There's people in the letter agencies working for Trump and people working for Clinton. Clinton cabal by all appearances has more allies there than Trump though.

PS: If I disappear it was cause of this post.

interesting but you're missing russiagate here, which it's now clear was a very public spat between two factions in the ruling class, either trying to decide whether trump should be prez or trying to ascertain if the investigation would unearth enough to outweigh any epstein dirt trump might dish.

in the event both epstein and the fake russia story have amounted to diddly squat so i think the only lesson the elites have learned is that people are so beaten down they don't have the appetite to hold the masters to account.

Russiagate was/is a separate Clinton op, too. Same motive, second plan.

I think Trump really does have ties to Russia (plenty to suggest it; I don't believe the election stealing and the rest of the nonsense (outside of shady business dealings and Trump very likely greasing the palms of some electors)). My guess is he's seeking an oil deal (or route to oil) with Russia & "small oil" and the Clinton and Co. cabal is wanting to block it because it'd hurt big oil. It's definitely not because he's unfit, that's for sure.

Sadly, I can see how the Clintons are so loving stupid and arrogant enough to actually think something like this would go according to the plan. Trump blaming them for Epstein’s murder on the same day he died was a clear and direct signal to the establishment that he will do literally anything to stay afloat, including burning it all down. A sitting President publicly blaming a former President and First Lady of murder like that is a pretty big deal.

It’s not the Clintons* and it’s not Trump, Epstein was terminated as part of a CIA operation and the Clinton dynasty is hosed and won’t be viable in the future (some agency needs could still be served in the Clinton network of connections formed over the past 40 years but the family themselves is done politically apart from power broker poo poo) and when the Trump presidency is over that thread is tied unless Don Junior and Eric could prove even remotely useful (or Barron gets appropriately programmed but being an Indigo Child protects you from mind control).

It’s both relieving and infuriating to hear this poo poo happening in other science disciplines too. Ignoring the Epstein stuff, pretty much the rest of the story I can identify with. The amount of loving worthless projects that defy all current scientific knowledge because some dipshit on a committee thought it was boundary pushing. Getting science funding is becoming more and more a snake oil salesman’s game because all you need is the right buzzwords and a willingness to outright lie about you and your project’s capabilities.

I was once on an infrastructure grant with other scientists for three instruments that were to be department-shared instruments (total for all three about $150k), but one of the worst scientists both in terms of ability and morally got their grant for a state of the art their-lab-only instrument (more than $250k) instead because there’s only one grant awarded per department. An instrument no one in that scientist’s group knew how to use, or anything even about that technique but hey, they promised all this crazy new science you could do with it while our grant was about practical instrumentation.

Said instrument sat unused for over TWO YEARS until their project report started wanting something tangible from what had been claimed. So what you do is throw a first year grad student who is completely clueless and hasn’t lost their will to live yet to go take some “data” and the report reading committee just goes “wow ok sounds like progress :D” and then you just repeat that process. What you end up with is unqualified graduate students who receive no real advising, getting far along in their projects thinking they are making progress, until someone who actually knows what they’re doing tells them none of what they’ve done is actually useful, but sunk cost and all that. So that data just gets sent to some bottom-bin poo poo journal because publication counts = good science in the publish or perish culture which is part of all this as well. The main scientist gets their paper count upped, the facility gets their cut of the grant money, all while science suffers.

That and the whole we desperately need scientists!! Oh but we won’t bother actually pursuing hiring good scientists because that would mean not hiring overqualified scientists at postdoc wages. :smithicide:

I've been exposed to this somewhat with witnessing the dramatic extent to which animal genetics research is marginalized in favor of human research. That might seem reasonable, but the problem is that there's a lot of stuff you can't do with humans that you can do with animals (like breed inbred sets and design sets of strains with the specific intent of answering some question). Currently the rat genetics community is actually at risk of dying.

And if you look at the broader economy, pretty much all science is basically left with the scraps in terms of programmers/statisticians, since all the real money is in fields like finance or for-profit tech. Genetics/genomics seems to basically rely on a small number of talented people who are just genuinely passionate about the science and okay with making 5-figure salaries when they could easily make many times that in industry.
