what?

franky is the power guy, nico is the technical wrestler, usopp is the comedy guy, luffy is fiery babyface that never goes down, chopper is the babyface with the huge nosell spot, zoro is the actual coolest member who always gets the secondary title, nami is the manager who has to wrestle sometimes.

sanji sucks.

Don't get it twisted who your enemies are.
Sanji wins a secondary or tertiary singles title from one enemy faction only to drop it to the next one they fight after 2 weeks with 0 defenses, ad nauseum. The only reigns with significance he ever has are tag titles with Zoro or Usopp.

One time a guy stole some downhill skis out of my jeep and I was so mad I punched a mailbox. I'm against crime, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
I went to a superstars taping in 1995 and everyone was just tired by the end. The show was about 4 1/2 hours long and was mostly squashed with big matches in between episodes of the taping. There were a few interviews/angles as well but nothing too memorable. The advertised dark match main event was Diesel/Razor/Shawn vs Yoko/owen/Bulldog but we ended up getting Diesel/jannetty/Ahmed vs Owen/bulldog/Jean Pierre Lafitte.

WCW let him go so he didn't really have any other option. Paul also realized fans would go nuts for stars of the past who liked to bleed or make others bleed.

And Sid.

I'm pretty sure this is from the couple of weeks in 2007 after Vince lost the ECW title to Lashley and was acting completely unhinged? He had a vendetta with anyone who had a championship belt afterwards. This was all the preamble to him getting blown up in a car bomb, which then never got resolved because of the Benoit murders.

On top of what others said, what you have to remember is that for all its edgy 90s presentation, ECW had quite a lot in similar with old territory wrestling. It was Memphis but in Philadelphia.

Dusty as a charismatic brawler and blading enthusiast would have been a perfect fit for ECW in his prime.

As a developmental territory it turned out John Cena, Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar and Batista. Off those four names alone I'd say it succeeded as a development territory far more than NXT ever has. If you're asking why it didn't succeed in becoming a third brand, it's because it didn't have the benefit of being available to watch for most of the country or frequent injections of indie names to put on fantastic matches. It was always treated as a development territory and not a third brand like NXT.

To piggyback off of this, who are the biggest NXT success stories? It seems that most of the bigger names were already big before and didn't need to be in developmental.

The longest roh show I went to was glory by honor 7 which had something like 5 title matches two 30 minute intermissions and a really long war games match. I got to see my hero kensuke sasaki wrestle though so everything was worth it. The longest wrestling show I went to was this most recent wrestlemania where me and my friends accidentally showed up early because we forgot about time zones and then we got trapped in the death line for a train, we just eventually walked through the rain up Paterson Plank Road until we found a gas station and took a $140 uber from there. The experience itself was a little over 12 hours but we watched Chase Owens try to carry up way too much Mediterranean Food through the hotel and that almost made it worth it.

Reigns followed way in the back by Rusev and than followed by Corbin in the distance again for home grown guys. But aside from Reigns nobody is close to Juice who left and went through the Young Lion system to become bigger.

Edit: Charlotte Flair, Becky, Shasha and Baley are also up in the success category for Women

Eh. I'd still count it. It's kind of semantics at that point. He was still a developmental guy and probably their best/latest claim to a home grown success.
