I've got some MO shares in the Roth. I like the idea of them having some synergy between vaping and weed but it's an awfully long timeline. I do think the vaping news cycle is overblown, at the end of the day it's going to be a safer alternative than cigs.

How does silver even work? Is it a hedge like gold or is it just like when there's demand for jewelry or something?

Bloodnose posted:How does silver even work? Is it a hedge like gold or is it just like when there's demand for jewelry or something? It's got a fair chunk of "metal is money" demand like gold but over half of all new production is for industrial use iirc. It's a pretty handy industrial metal

It has a lot of industrial applications, and is good to hold when the value of fiat currency declines. The prevailing bullish argument seems to be that growing sovereign debt will necessitate the dilution in value of fiat currencies around the globe.

crazypeltast52 posted:Zerohedge is that way. That's not warranted. I dont agree that "fiat" currency drives silver prices, considering it's very heavy and growing use in industry (solar PVs and electric cars are a big driver here), but some significant players still maintain a "metal is money" mindset, however erroneously, namely China. It's worth talking about when considering the value of an asset

There is definitely an overblown hysteria going on right now

MACROPHAGES! Vaping is already entrenched. I think we see a flavor ban at most and that would even surprise me.

They are going to ban flavored vape poo poo which has nothing to do with the handful of deaths from the stuff that killed them which is at best questionable legal already. On the other hand all this fruit flavored addictive poo poo was absolutely made and marketed for teenagers but they will get at worst a slap on the wrist for that.

They also claimed that this was done with "co-operation with the honorable people inside the kingdom", which raises the specter that there are people within Aramco helping the rebels. Current Saudi leadership has been making a lot of internal enemies lately.

Lmao Scott Gottlieb was such a loving hustler, he was part of a investment firm that only invested in bioparmas and he is the head of the department that basically decides their share price. That is the beauty of the Trump administration, where ever you look there is market manipulation and conflict of interest. Also ya guys Iran who can't sell any oil decide to attack the Saudi oil which will increase the price of oil which only benefits net exporters of oil and we know who those two countries are. The two countries who like to call everyone terrorists. Now lets see what happens to the spot price of oil, it should increase but futures should go a lot higher than it, which was the opposite last week. This is so predictable it's hilarious. Wti near low 50s? Buy vol boys because someone is getting bombed.
