I was thrown off by the article:
"Many people know me," he said, "and know that I edit all the videos that I post."
Like, it made me think the video was edited and thus fake.

Thank goodness the vid is real, though, because I was having mild anxiety over not being able to discern what exactly got faked: the rockets, the drone, or both.

Don't worry, we're already there. Deepfakes are already 90% of the way there, and they're only going to get better.

The thing is, that last 5% is gonna be the hardest part. For now it's more comedic than anything else because you can still see all the little seams but I have yet to see those seams get stitched up by any professionals.

Reading the article though, that still appears to be a drone shooting fireworks, just with everybody in on it. That's sort of upsetting on it's own.

I think it was here that I read it's the accepted way of doing it. The pilot has extra controls just for that murder stick.

Haha, yeah I don't think I ever actually watched it all the way through. I'm sure I've seen the entire thing in 10 minute chunks whenever it was on cable. I remember a boat chase and that's about it.
