The league has been in a really poo poo spot for a while with maybe 3 QB's coming up during the literal decades of performance of the early 2k's QB's. Now 1 retired and the other looks not far behind him. All the old men are hitting the wall except Brady with not even a handful of replacement talents ready. It's REALLY highlighting just what a hard position it is to play on top of the parity problem.

I dunno, I think the league will look really fun once the looming spectre of the Pats has finally dissolved.

There is always new blood. We just need to keep vampire Brady away from them

At the end of last year it seemed like most teams had some kind of answer to their QB dilemma, to the point that there wasn't even much of a trade market for Josh Rosen. But here we are two weeks in and it turns out...

- Brees, Luck, Ben, Foles and Darnold are gone for the entire season or chunks of it
- Trubisky, Winston, and Newton are not playing nearly as well as was hoped.

That's a big part of the league that now has to rethink their QB situation.

I think it's an absolute lock. The storyline is just too good - beating the Patriots twice in the Super Bowl, Super Bowl MVP both times, with iconic big plays in each game, 18-1.

His career stats are trash by HOF standards, but it won't matter.

Joe Namath was at least good in the AFL era, and Roethlisberger has always been a significantly better QB then Eli.

Eli is really close to Jim Plunkett, just with the benefit of playing in New York.

Jackson: Pump the brakes real hard here. Beating the poo poo out of the Dolphins doesn't mean much this year. Gonna need to see sustained success

Most of the QBs in the league are bad, young and already suck, or young and going to suck because their situation is awful.

To expand on this more:

Young guys:
Mitch Trubs: Sucks
Josh Allen: Sucks
Jameis: Sucks
Sam Darnold: Could be good, but also shackled to the Jets
Kyler Murray: Looks really promising, hopefully he doesn't die behind that line.
Jones and Haskins: TBD

in the middle:
Wilson: Amazing. Team doesn't know what forward pass is though
Wentz: Good, can't stay healthy
Jimmy: Good, hasn't stayed healthy
Newton: lovely QB, good runner. Also looks cooked now because he's taken a beating
Derek Carr: sucks
Dak: Ok. Hovering just above the Dalton line
Goff: Both good and a system QB.Good arm, 10 cent head
Matt Ryan: Solidly above the Dalton line, kinda inconsistent
Dalton: Definition of average
Stafford: Above dalton line, kinda inconsistent.

Older guys:
Rodgers: Slowly declining, still good. This may change though as he escaped from Fat Mike.
Cousins: Playing like poo poo this year, historically good.
Ben: Hurt. Future TBD
Eli: sucks, benched
Brees: Hurt. Still playing at top level, but who knows what happens now with his hand injury.
Brady: Still playing well, slowly declining. Also old AF

Goff is the perfect example of a system QB. He can physically make the throws, he is just an idiot. He looked like poo poo with Jeff Fisher cause well, it's Jeff Fisher. With McVay telling him what to do and where to aim the cannon the results are much better. He's also in an actual modern offense instead of whatever the 70s nonsense Jeff Fisher believes in

It sucks rear end that we were robbed of like 10 more years of good RG3, Luck, and Cam by dogshit coaches/GM's/refs getting them killed.

If Wentz can stay alive for 16 games he's in the Actually Good camp, imo. Hopefully he's not Sam Bradford 2.0.

Baker is really good, but this year doesn't look so hot yet. I thought Cleveland should have hired a real coach for a few reasons, but maybe the offense would still be OK. Unfortunately the offense looks like poo poo so far, and Kitchens has no control over the team and they are undisciplined as poo poo
