fsif posted:Right, over two seasons. Baker entered a team with far more talent than Miami is likely to have at the start of next year. This roster has significantly more young players who have had some level of quality performance on the field than the 1-15 team from 2007(that turned around and went 11-5 the year after). That roster basically had Ronnie Brown(for six games) and Vernon Carey as guys on rookie contracts who had shown signs of life. All of the guys who would later become significant contributors and good players hadn't really shown any signs of life at that point(Paul Soliai, Matt Roth, Channing Crowder, Yeremiah Bell).

I think the Dolphins will get better towards the middle of the season. They've got a ton of players who've never played nfl football before, and I think there will be a sweet spot around games 6-12 where they've figured a few things out but not hit the wall. So it may be early to call them the worst ever

With that in mind: https://twitter.com/ZachDrapkin/status/1174419930889850880 They're going to continue to be bad for sure, but there's a limit to how much you can run with week 1 and 2, especially when you've got clear factors like starting street free agents the week they've signed at Tackle and stuff like that contributing.

How has attendance been in Miami for the past few years? Miami is a notoriously fickle sports city,. Attendance went way south for Cleveland when they were doing bad, and I don’t think they’ve fully recovered. I can’t imagine that it would be an easy thing to fill that stadium back up if attendance crashes.

Darnold is an adult with a career that invites public scrutiny and he’s derailed an entire nfl team’s season because he kissed one too many jets fans. If that’s not worthy of a bit of mockery than we’re more doomed than I thought.

There is a difference between Pats and Bills fans making GBS threads on him or the Jets on a message board or on twitter and ESPN, one of the NFL's main partners, using their contracted air time to try to humiliate him and the team. BTW it's very possible to get Mono without kissing anyone...

Darnold missing games because of mono is a light-hearted, hilarious football development. It sucks for Jets fans that spent the offseason waiting to watch him in year two, but for the rest of the league, it is insanely funny and the ultimate Jets thing.
