That just makes me sad because she must have a learning disability or something and the dude made fun of her :/ I'm going to take a wild guess here and suggest that the girl taking ONE class a semester is probably already pretty torn up about it.

They had to get the second house you see because the first one wasn't in a cool enough location.

I don't know, one single class per semester at a real college? And then they sit on the phone crying saying how hard it is? It could be a trustafarian but drat that's just sad even for someone trying to coast.

It's an unreasonable thing to ask a roommate to agree to in the first place. If I'm paying for half the space in the fridge, you don't get to dictate what goes there.

I think it's a maturity thing, but it's sometimes stunning to me how many people on the internet think they can logic their way out of situations driven by emotion. As though the provenance of the atheism really is going to make a MIL like a DIL any more. Even non-crazy mothers tend to dislike the women their sons marry, even if they don't think they'll burn in hell or whatever. Having said that, the husband is being a wimp for not standing up to mommy.

AITA for letting a kid (5) ruin a white carpet and not helping clean up?quote:I'm a handyman. My sister wanted her son's bedroom repainted, and a border put up. The room isn't very big and they picked out a self adhesive border. The whole thing wouldn't take more than one afternoon, so I said if she gets the supplies then I'll do the whole thing for free. I did say that I only had 4 hours at most, as I had another client afterwards.
