That's my impression as well, and since he's career military he should be exceptionally skilled at threading that needle by following the procedure down to the last word. Olympic level rear end-covering is pretty much a requirement to be where he is. He's just got absolutely no room for error and his partner who was holding the needle is a toddler throwing a tantrum.
