And yeah the white skin, odd outfit (compared to the others) and clawed nails make me think she's unlikely a normal human.

I also like how every character has a persistent corpse sprite after you fight them. The graphics are generally more detailed than Painful's, too. Hopeful doesn't really do that quite as much, but it does a good enough job at telling a personal story instead and I think it had some good character moments. Even if you are dual wielding 1 handers, they still can't match the greatsword due to how damage is calculated in the game for skills.Not to mention you can use Sword Dance with a greatsword and that is one of the best single target moves in the game.

Yeah, even despite the two swords I still just stuck with the Berserker Greatsword for most of the endgame. It also helps that if you know the enemy that drops it, you can just go to that location and fight them till they drop one and jump like nearly 200 points of attack in one equip.

Huh, I always felt like I was doing more damage with dual swords at endgame. Must've been fooling myself, I guess? I still wish you could get That Sword in greatsword format. There's even a perfect time where the game could've done it! I was so mad!

I also played the game with the roaming camera option too so well, that's off the beaten path for most people too. You don't get any of the heavy hitter skills till the second act anyway so it felt good to have that as an option all the time.

You can go crazy or join the mob. Or join the occult domesday cult. If you choose the royality origin you start with your own personal butler as a companion, while if you choose the explorar origin you start with your faithful canine that you can interact with to gain sanity.

Greatswords do do more damage at the end of the game because Hero doesn't get to negate his offhand penalty like Erik does, but the final shield offers nearly unlimited MP for other spells.

Even with it being false, if it was true, depending on how it's said, I also wouldn't see "I didn't write that character as being gay" as being not progressive, when it's a series with representation elsewhere. I'm all for death of the author and all, but also wouldn't see a problem with them outright saying they didn't intend for one particular character to be gay. Granted, I'm also annoyed with a certain subset of fandom being "ALL THE CHARACTERS ARE GAY AND/OR TRANS. ALL OF THEM!" so there's that too.

no it bears repeating. edit: jokes aside I don't care if someone wants to read a touhou as straight, both because it's fiction who cares and because, while obviously straight people aren't oppressed, media that deals with straight women's sexuality in a fun way is pretty rare, so if someone gets something out of that one time rinnosuke and yukari flirted, it's whatever. But it's also very, very obvious why people would want to just, imagine a series in which all the major characters are gay and/or trans, and it doesn't affect you at all, lol.

I know gently caress all about Touhou besides it...existing, so  I mean a particular head canon type, though. The sort that is very loud about "This sweet little cinnamon bun is gay, and if you think otherwise you're HOMOPHOBIC" type about their head canons. I don't have a problem with just having them, since I most certainly have my own about some series.
