Tubgoat posted:The fact that she got 10 years with possibility of parole and a hug from the judge and the key witness murdered without consequence after committing premeditated homicide, she pretty much did? Any consequences beyond a paid vacation are considered outrageous for cops. The fact that this case went to trial, or that she faced a grand jury at all, is an attack for these people. They want to act with total impunity, because most of the time they do.

lol why even bother to cover it up, who's gonna investigate the cops anyway? who's gonna do anything about it? honestly this is the scariest part of the white supremacy in this country to me. where do you even begin to untangle the issue of police departments across the country being well-entrenched white supremacist gangs with a state granted monopoly on force and a significant base of popular support from the most well-off people in the country? like there's no way to actually fix the issue without some form of violence, since you can count on them to commit it themselves in response to the tiniest slight

you know it is kinda funny that people on the chans can openly post specific death threats against public figures and groups of people on the reg but it’s still looked down upon here. It’s not like SA is any more pwned than the chans or even random discords are by the feds. /shrug fwiw I’m not complaining about the policy, just noting how quaint it feels

Is vengeful police violence usually this blatant? I know the cops are a violent extrajudicial gang of sociopaths but brazenly gunning down the only witness to a cop committing murder in a case the whole country is talking about is almost hard to believe Like how do we come back from this jesus christ this country is hosed

Suspect broke loose of restraint and committed suicide by shooting themself four times in the head with a previously-hidden bolt-action firearm. Suspect evaded arrest by leaping down an elevator shaft onto thirteen (13) 9mm slugs.

definitely not saying it's not the cops, but this was a highly public, politicized case, so it's withinthe realm of possibility that it was a chud blue loves matter vigilante (that isn't a cop)

well, obviously, it's because people in reasonable fear for their lives might do anything in the world to try to spare themselves from being murdered in cold blood by a cop, but forgive me for respecting the goal posts' original position, "they're not in any danger" you bootlicking gently caress EDIT: praying doesn't do any good either, do you wonder why people do that? I never said they weren’t in danger? I said I doubt the judge hugged someone in some 4th dimensional chess move. Occam’s razor says it’s more likely a judge is pro cop than anything. where did you get the idea I didn’t think they where in danger
