The Eli/Rivers saga... Stafford, kinda.

Definitely way more misses than hits for sure though.

i wasnt about to go looking but yeah

i just feel like you can get a decent qb in the 2nd or third round and develop them and then also they dont have insane expectations they are then forced to hold up to, and they arent gonna be forced to be plugged in by the owner and fans way before they're ready

spend your firsts on stud defensive players or linemen

Yeah, but I kinda chalk up "retiring at 29" in the "Not good" column.

EDIT: "Not good" as in "not good for the team," I'm not saying Luck wasn't good. He was very good.

If you're going to cite stafford as a success, then cam, luck, vick, alex smith (maybe), bledsoe, and vinny testaverde are all fine too then

Elway was an overall first as well

Eh, plenty of first round qbs have been good, just scout it out and don't force it.

Find someone who values you like Rick Spielman values 7th round picks.

Alex smith eventually developing under andy reid taints my memories of his babyhands issues early on

Eagles picked both mcnabb and wentz 2nd overall and I'm sure there's other productive ones who go 2 and 3 which are functionally the same conversation.
