In a sign that the right-wing media's relentless defense of President Donald Trump may be cracking, Fox News host Tucker Carlson published an op-ed with Daily Caller co-founder and publisher Neil Patel zinging Trump for his call with Ukraine's president. "Donald Trump should not have been on the phone with a foreign head of state encouraging another country to investigate his political opponent, Joe Biden," Carlson and Patel wrote. "Some Republicans are trying, but there's no way to spin this as a good idea."

Carlson and Patel added, "Like a lot of things Trump does, it was pretty over-the-top. Our leaders' official actions should not be about politics. Those two things need to remain separate. Once those in control of our government use it to advance their political goals, we become just another of the world's many corrupt countries. America is better than that."

It was inappropriate. It’s also the kind of thing that the government does all the time. Trump’s problem was getting caught (if he did do it and did get caught doing it). Sorry Tucker, but what Trump legitimately questions was how deep Ukraine’s political class was in bed with the Obama administration in the production and dissemination of the Russian collusion hoax, and under it all the abuse of power that may have been used by a sitting Vice President, to get a Ukraine official removed from office, and official which had been investigating a Ukriane company with a board of directors that included Joe Biden’s son while Biden was the Vice President.

ALL of those things ARE pertinent to ongoing U.S.-Ukraine relationship - is the political collusions between Ukraine officials with the Democratic party over, or not.

Why is it inappropriate?

The fact that Biden is a political opponent therefore makes his quid pro quo demands to Ukraine as VP immune from investigation?

If so, that makes him ABOVE THE LAW!!

Tucker Carlson’s statement makes no sense. The President is the chief law enforcement officer of the land. Because of his position, he must root out corruption.

This isn’t even a “witch hunt”, there is evidence that Joe Biden used American foreign aid as leverage to prevent his son from being investigated. Are we just going to let the law ignore this just because he is a candidate for President?

I don’t think so.

RE: It was inappropriate. It’s also the kind of thing that the government does all the time. Trump’s problem was getting caught

We have to disagree here.

Had Trump brought out the names of say, Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders or Corrie Booker, yes, it would be inappropriate. Why? Because those would be witch hunts. They have nothing to do with Ukraine.

Why Biden? Well, because in his case, it is NOT a witch hunt. It is investigation based on EXISTING EVIDENCE.

Not because he was a leading opposing candidate, BUT BECAUSE THERE IS EVIDENCE OF A QUID-PRO-QUO using American foreign policy as leverage when he was VP.

Doing so is simply applying his duty as the chief enforcer of the law, especially when it comes to corruption relating to foreign policy.

*THAT* evidence against Biden Warrants an investigation. If this is inappropriate, then all one has to do to avoid investigation after one does something corrupt is to run for President. That’s ridiculous of course. No one should be above the law.

The short answer is I don't know. President Trump has gone out of his way to give the State everything we have asked for. So it must go deeper with the leadership. Morals? White Horse Visions? I have no idea, but the leadership (not necessarily the members) despise him.

An example: When Barry was elected president, church leaders followed a longtime tradition and presented him with his genealogy, with much pomp and circumstance. (It must have been an enormous work of fiction.)

For Trump? Nada.

Who is the Deep State?, a vanity thread posted by freeper immadashell

So much is written about, and talked about, some ambiguous entity called the “Deep State” but nowhere is there any description of the “Deep State”, any real definition of the “Deep State” and, most importantly, any list of members of the “Deep State.” As long as there is no real identification of the entity or its membership it doesn’t really pose any danger to anyone anywhere and no one is forced to defend themselves or their actions. My suggestion is to nominate appropriate individuals for inclusion of their names as charter members of the “Deep State” and see what happens. Imagine opening up the morning paper or listening to the morning talk shows only to find that you (the named charter member) are now considered to be attached to the organization which has, up to now, been anonymously engaged in the low life activities of the Swamp denizens common known as the “Deep State!”

So fellow Freepers here is your opportunity to include the names of those individuals you consider to be qualified, by words or actions, in the annals of the “Deep State.” Have fun!

My view is that the "Deep State" consists of well-placed (high-ranking) members of the permanent federal bureaucracy, particularly the intelligence agencies, and/or high-ranking appointed officials in those bureaucracies who have a sense of entitlement and privilege to pursue their own objectives regardless of whether those objectives are consistent with the goals of the current administration or of congressional majorities.

They constitute a "government within the government" that is relatively impervious to congressional or executive oversight or control. When aided and abetted by the media, they are extremely powerful and extremely dangerous.

Just the other night, on CNN, a member of this clique chillingly claimed that Rudy Giuliani deserves "a shiv in his back" because he is interfering with the operations of the "brotherhood."

Many Deep State players in Silicon Valley. many among Hollywood ‘celebrities, ...’

The Deep State players are all known to the NSA counter intel group. POTUS is informed of the Deep State roster of members and ‘assets’.

POTUS does not like the label ‘Deep State’ because it sounds too conspiratorial but he will not disclose who they are. His advisor last week used the ‘Deep State’ label several times in an interview with Chris Wallace who is owned by Deep State mobsters controlling the Mocking Bird messengers and mobster minions. Sounds conspiratorial but it’s true.

To: immadashell

I never gave the "Deep State" much thought until the Democrats and Mainstream Media and more than a few Republicans started to go all out to:

1. Get Hillary Elected, and then
2. Get Trump to Resign, after he won.

I have seen the Media and Dems gang up on Republican Presidents before, but that was unreal in late 2016 and early 2017.

It remains unreal with the latest effort.

So, starting in 2017, I really started to pay attention and try to follow what was driving the Democrats and Media's madness and hatred for Trump.

A number of like minded Twitterers sort of coalesced around a certain You-Tuber, and after a while things became more clear.

So, here we go.

Who is the Mueller guy anyway?

The media painted him as some respected senior government servant. He was Marine. Through grit and hard work he climbed the government ranks, rose to level of FBI director, and then because he was objective and experienced, was named the Special Prosecutor.

I blindly accepted the narrative above and never thought about looking into Mueller's resume.
What could possibly be in the 2017 JFK files that would damage national security 55+ years later.

I never gave JFK much thought either. Lee Harvey did it as far as I was concerned. Still, why is the CIA still making the effort to keep those files sealed after so long?

As the 2017 effort to get rid of Trump looked more like the 1963 successful effort to get rid of JFK, a closer look at Mueller made sense. Also, the guy we follow on Youtube seemed to always know what he was talking about.

>Stefan Halper was CIA from way back in the Watergate days he pointed out. >The Awan brothers were syncing congressional blackberries to different laptops, and how the hell did those Pakistanis get those jobs in the IT department to begin with?

Who is the Mueller guy anyway, again?

Myself and a few other curious types started to really look into Mueller. We soon discovered that the MSM left a lot off of his biography.

1. He is first cousin once removed to Richard Bissell (Bissell was fired by JFK because of the disastrous Bay of Pigs invasion. Bissell Mueller Connections

2. He is related, via his wife, to Charles Pearre Cabell, the other guy fired by JFK for Bay of Pigs. (Alan Dulles was also fired.) Although Mueller is distantly related to Cabell, we also found out that Mueller's parents socialized on Gibson Island Maryland with the Pearre family for at least three decades. Cabell Family

3. His sister married a Dick (Sugar Baron Family connected to the Astors.)

4. Bissell's sister married into the Prud'homme family. (Belgian bankers who worked for the Rothschilds.) Mueller Prudhomme connections

5. Other spooks in the Mueller extended family included the Child's (Julia Child) and the Baers (that guy who does Nazi Hunters Robert Booker Baer looks like a Cabell relative.)

6. Robert Mueller Jr. (Bob's father) worked for duPont. It appears he was involved in the atomic metals business (Uranium, Polonium, etc.) and when he retired from duPont, he joined forces with Gerald Tugwell in a metals trading business. Tugwell is very interesting. He was Mark Rich's boss at Englehard Industries (aka Philips Brothers.) Tugwell and Rich both left Phibro (Englehard) within a few months of each other.

7. Robert Mueller Sr. (Bob's grandfather) was one of duPont primary supplier of nitrates to duPont during WW2. Mueller & Co. also made huge profits selling nitrates during WWI, and at one point in the late 1930s, was accussed, with a number of other companies, of colluding to fix fertilizer prices.

In short, Robert Mueller comes from a very wealthy and very conniving Eastern Establishment Family. Mueller got the Job to look into Trump because he is the Deep State.

Mueller's Summer Neighbors Reveal a lot about the Deep State.

The Mueller family has had a house on Gibson Island, Maryland since the early 1920s. BFD you might say.

Gibson Island is very small, very wealthy and very Isolated from the rest of the USA. It would be a 2.5 mile walk from the northernmost residence to the southern most residence. The peak summer population now is less than 600 in the summer. Before 1950, the peak was less than 150. Everybody knew each other.

If you look at the Historical and contemporary residents, it is loaded with any number of suspected Deep State members and their families of the past 100 years.

Rockefellers – yes

Walkers / Pierce (Bush extended) – yes

Symingtons – Yes

Duponts – Yes
Pinchots – Yes

Link to list of interesting Gibson Island residents. Some we know and some we don't. The ones you never heard of are more interesting and we are looking at the names.

Arrowsmith - connected to George Norman Rockwell (1950s neo Nazi) and possibly Otto Skorzeny (1940s old Nazi)

Booth - Worked for the Atomic Energy Commission. Very interesting fellow. He is also related by marriage to some White Russian Nobility, including one involved in the Russia Hoax.

Bob Woodward

The founder of Marsh Mclennan. If you want some potential 9/11 connections.

Basically, Gibson Island is where the members of the Deep State have been spending their summers since the early 1920s.

It’s in education of our kids to hate America and the rest of us. The military is infiltrated as are our intelligence systems. Entertainment, media as well.

They’ve been trying to kill us off for quite awhile now. Again, drugs - legal and illegal. Diversity to rob us of our unity and patriotism. Our Constitution was all but dead. They want us all dead because we will not comply.

Government programs, charities, the Fed fiat money has robbed US taxpayers of multi-trillions of dollars. The money has not gone to where we think it goes. It doesn’t help others, it pays for worldwide tyranny to bring about the One World Government, global oligarchy. Big business is up to their eyeballs in it. It’s more of a question of, where isn’t it.

1984, Brave New World and Animal Farm has shown us exactly what their blueprint is. Reread them. You will be horrified. We are virtually living those books today.

The Military and Intelligence services are involved, technology. Media. All involved in this One World Government.

Thank God for a few brave men. Thank God we elected PDJT. God bless America and above all, unite. Unity against this global takeover is our only hope.

Get out and vote for PDJT or this evil system will recoup and we will be done for. Stay united. Pray and pray like you never have before.

She is a phony that took advantage of affirmative action to get hired as a minority American Indian and makes $400,000 a year teaching ONE class. ONE class. Talk about income inequality.

And this is just for starters. She was almost at par with Bernie on giving everything away for free. She promises to end Washington corruption but is a US Senator and is part of that corruption.

She's big on the climate change cult and says the US military can lead the way in fighting it. What? The military fights our real enemies, not those imagined by ex-bartenders and angry Swedish 16 year olds.

She's for Medicare-For-All but dodges the question of funding by raising middle class taxes.

She's for open borders, ultra-millionaire tax, empowering workers through accountable capitalism (socialism), 100% clean energy (eliminating fossil fuels completely) and on and on with lots of foolish liberal ideas.

But then she also will campaign on taking things away from Americans, as well. Guns. Electoral College that conveniently insured Trump's election, taking away right of voters to pick their own healthcare, ending private prisons, etc.

She won't have chance against Trump in my opinion.

It's pretty obvious that the Democrats are in a state of alarm and panic over what they see as a coming release of information and action by the DOJ over the illegal things the Obama administration did as it tried to thwart and undermine the election of Donald Trump in 2016.

Their anxiety is such that at the upper levels of the Democrat party they've decided to throw caution to the wind and pull out all the stops. I'm reminded of the ominous messages that were sent out by Saddam Hussein to his "foreign agents" during the run-up to the Iraq invasion in 1991; Saddam sent out messages stating "implement all actions that are on the table, and all actions that are off the table."

The Democrats have escalated their harassment, interference, and disinformation campaign to a new level, implementing the "off the table" actions they had been holding in reserve.

I would not be surprised to see even more extreme actions in the days to come, including incidents involving firearms.

I certainly would not be surprised to see a mass shooting incident, or multiple mass-casualty attacks happening when PDJT announces indictments in the FISA warrant matter or in connection with the various Democrat foreign interference and collusion operations that were used in 2016 and after.

Obviously, anyone who got one of these letters would either have enough legal education to know it is worthless, or else they would go to a lawyer and seek help and then they would be told that it is worthless.

So it follows that the purpose of the letters isn’t really to get to get anyone to follow the dictates of the letter. No one is going to do that.

The point of the letters is to get the media all spun up and shout “These are subpoenas for gosh sakes! Republicans are ignoring these?! Now we really need to impeach Trump!”

Congress and the media are playing games in order to persuade the public into a political position which is advantageous to the Left. Only thing is ... it’s not working. Normal people understand the game.

The knee-jerk reaction to any criticism of Trump, real or perceived, by anyone considered even mildly conservative, be it Tucker Carlson or even the venerable Rush Limbaugh, makes no sense.

The instant protestations and promises of abandoning Fox News because a ratings star like Tucker Carlson offered a mild criticism of the wisdom of the president specifically asking Ukraine President Zaleksy to investigate Joe and Hunter Biden (with good reason) does not make Carlson an enemy of Trump or a tool of the left. One last post tonight, and it's a downer.

One of Trump's major policies is to root out corruption and Drain the Swamp - impeachable? posted by freeper Jim Robinson

It's just this. None of the comments are worth posting.

quote:

One of then major planks in Trump's campaign platform on which he was duly elected was and is to "Drain the Swamp!" That is now his duty and policy and that policy includes rooting out the entrenched corruption, anti-America bad actors, traitors, crooks, liars, slackers and deadwood from all federal departments and agencies, ie, the so-called "DeepState."

Despite all the flak thrown up by Obama, Biden, Hillary, Kerry, Clapper, Brennan, Comey, the democrats, the media, the establishment elite, etc, this is what we the people want and demand and expect of good government.

Why would the democrats not want this to be the policy?

Why would the media not want this to be the policy?

Why would the CIA/FBI/DOJ/DOS not want this to be the policy?

Why would this policy be an impeachable offense?

We just witnessed nearly three years of chaos created by the DeepState trying to oust the duly elected president based on FABRICATED documents produced by FOREIGN bad actors and paid for by Hillary and the DNC in concert with bad actors in the CIA, FBI, DOJ, DOS and supported by every drat democrat in congress who demanded and got a special prosecutor who failed in his democrat assigned mission to make their hoax stick.

President Trump survived the assault. And in the meantime, knowing that he was being falsely accused and illegally spied upon and investigated by the DeepState and (unbeknownst to most of us), he apparently assigned his private attorney, Rudy Giuliani, to look into the genesis of these false charges and follow all leads wherever they may lead. And the trail led through Hillary, the DNC, Fusion GPS, Christopher Steele, etc, and to the Ukraine, the UK, Australia, Italy, etc. It also became apparent that bad actors in the CIA, FBI, DOJ and DOS were also implicated.

Who you gonna call? Can't very well call on the DeepState to investigate its own wrong doing--not even an Inspector General--witness the recent so-called 'WhistleBlower' fiasco complete with a complicit intelligence community IG.

The evidence and public record is plain to see and speaks for itself, despite the democrat lies.

The bottom line is the DeepState swamp is refusing to be drained and is fighting back, as are the corrupt Democrats. No one said this would be easy. It will be a hell of a messy fight. Thank God Trump is a fighter who refuses to roll over for the media or for the democrats or even for the CIA/FBI/DOJ/DOS cabal who "can destroy you six ways to Sunday" as one corrupt democrat senator promised.

The current impeachment frenzy all boils down to the democrats trying to impeach the president for his POLICY of rooting out government corruption. Good luck with that. If Biden's obvious corruption gets caught up in it, oh well.

drat the torpedoes, full speed ahead, Mr. President! We the people have your back.

Whooo boy. So let's talk a bit about something I haven't posted much tonight. I've omitted a whole bunch of posts about Biden and Ukraine. Freep has fallen head first into a conspiracy theory floated by the Clinton Cash folks that's been integrated with other baseless conspiracies to form a larger conspiratorial narrative. Under this narrative, Trump is perfectly justified in encouraging the investigation of Biden because they believe that it's an attempt to "investigate" the origins of the Russian interference in the 2016 election. The narrative claims that the entire thing, from top to bottom, has been a conspiracy by the Democrats, and that Russia is entirely innocent and has done nothing.

The big problem isn't that JimRob believes this, or that Freep believes this, but that Trump himself believes this. All of this poo poo, from top to bottom, is based on conspiratorial thinking.

There were zero posts in the thread that addressed anything he actually said in the article, which was posted in the context of the Turkey/Syria fiasco. There was nearly zero discussion of current United States foreign policy outside of MAGA talking points.

This is why all the military equipment we sell to marginally loyal allies should be equipped with a hidden remote disable device. It doesn’t have to be much, just a bit of code in the processors that permanently corrupts the operating system.

ISIS was one of the most savage and monstrous forces to emerge in the world in many decades. The Kurds did most of the front line fighting to defeat them and we provided vital support and materiel, with the commitment of a fairly small number of troops. And Trump has said much about how he smashed ISIS.

That was a worthwhile achievement and we should not abandon the folks who did most of the fighting. And it would be a pretty small commitment to keep a presence in the one area.

But as I said, these are friends who have risen to the ranks of Colonel and General in the Army and General in the Air Force. Lots of different people, all who would describe themselves as A-political. They see this the same way.

Colonels and Generals never see a war they think we need out of. And they are all Georgetown and JFK School of Govt graduates, firmly committed to the globalist cause. They are myopic and get too close to the locals. This causes them to confuse local causes as being natural American interests.
Then they all have designs on consulting, defense industry, and intel contractor jobs after retirement. All of those require them to see the globalist neocon line as accurate.

They are not trustworthy to DECIDE policy and should stick to executing it.

Nobody thinks a politician is the best person to decide military tactics, targets, weapons loads, etc. It’s universally understood that they suck at it. Likewise, Colonels and Generals are nightmarishly bad at deciding WHEN and WHERE we should have a war.

quote:

To: Will88

You should not ascribe words to me I did not utter. Show me where I said military expenditure is the reason for our deficit? You can’t because it came out of your head, not mine.

Actually if I was a dictator of USA, I would increase the military budget to 50% of tax revenues. Because I believe in peace through strength. But I would not squander the military dollars on policing the unstable middle-east. I would not spend it on 800 military installations world wide. I would not keep tens of thousands of troops in S Korea when that war was 75 years ago. Ditto with troops in Germany. Those countries are not poor. They are rich at our expense. They don’t spend anywhere near we spend on military.

Even with the 20% of tax revenues we spend on military, we are superior militarily than next 3 strongest combined. There is no country who can attack us and hope to win. Our only vulnerability is attacks like 911. To reduce that possibility, we need to spend the money on smart and tough measures here, which are direly lacking.

As for anti-poverty programs, when I visited Singapore, I was shocked to see how superior their airport, cruise terminal, hi-ways, transportation system is to ours. After flying back from Singapore to San Fran airport, it felt like I was entering a 3rd world airport. So if I was a dictator of USA, I would follow example of Singapore where in 30 short years, it has created more millionaires based on population size than anywhere else. Every 6th Singapore citizen is a millionaire. And guess how much they spend on anti-poverty programs? A big fat zero! There is no unemployment check, no food stamps, no welfare for any able bodied adult in working age range. If you don’t work, you will starve. Guess what is the unemployment rate in Singapore? It is essentially zero! Only Singaporeans without a job are those who are between jobs. But our politicians are too stupid to learn from others.

Getting back to our own country, I would close all 800 military installations we have abroad and use that money to tighten our open borders, and deport any immigrant legal or illegal who breaks our laws. We have a hard time finding 10 most wanted by FBI, so it will cost tons of money to round up thousands of criminal immigrants, but look how it increases safety for American people. Why are we protecting borders of other countries and leave ours wide open?

Another amazing fact about that country full of millionaires. Fully 1/3 of their workers are in Singapore on work visa’s. But here is the difference. The work visa requires the worker to leave Singapore after 2 years and re-apply again if they can prove there is a job waiting for them. And there is long waiting line of workers waiting in line because wages in Singapore are higher than neighboring countries.

So yes, any entity with debt greater than 10 times their income has no business acting as world policeman. We are bankrupt and should not pretend to be world police. We need to cut down welfare and increase military budget to be used INSIDE the country, not in 800 military outposts spread all around the world.

Your Second Civil War: It Ain’t Happening. posted by freeper RArtfulogerDodger

The article is from Conservative Right Wing News dot com, and thus is trash, but it raises a few correct points about how an actual attempt to wage war against the government would go. That is, it'd go poorly. Here's how it ends.

quote:

Where would this war start? Who would participate? What — or who — would be targeted? What’s the order of battle?

How could this war be ended? Who would be in charge to end it?

And then what? Who won? What System would be dominant? Democracy? Communism? Liberty? Equality? Fraternity? One World? How would that particular System be enforced? Who would enforce it?

Where would America have been — or be, all this time? What would happen to America’s leaders, traditions, Constitution, declarations, documents, and other guiding principles? Would America be poised to unfold like a newly majestic butterfly? Like a blazing phoenix rising from its own ashes?

Or would it be crumbling in some hidden bunker?

What’s the answer?

I don’t know.

I can only hope that Donald Trump exposes mighty powers now working against America. That the American people reject and shun them. That anyone who hates America will be dealt with legally, constitutionally, and finally, forever.

I can only hope there will be no second armed insurrection.

Who makes up the military? PEOPLE! Not ships and tanks. Would military personnel make war against their own people (conservatives)? A war like this would divide the military as well, or render it useless.

Don’t give me “brother fighting brother” as evidence for your side as it is actually evidence for MY position. The two sides are so diametrically opposed that even Liberal brothers will fight Conservative brothers, not because they are “brothers”, but because their causes supersede family ties.

The nature of war is that it is unpredictable.

The best preventative measure to avoid war is to be very prepared for war. That’s why I advocate getting as prepared as a person can be. For some, that is merely getting a gun and learning how to use it.

What the left would like to force upon us is truly frightening, but they know they cannot do it without disarming us first. Then they would gladly turn America into Venezuela 2, with themselves as the rich, fat cats running it all. But that’s not going to happen here. There will be a tipping point that results in the many aspiring tyrants being sent to their eternal fate.

If they assume the military can or will crush it, I again reference those three sh*thole countries. Liberaltopian cities will be choked, starved and in rubble. They will be slaughtered if they try to get relief by air, land or water. Really,it could possibly be a mutually assured destruction of the USA and a country like China getting the spoils.

Or would many soldiers, or even entire divisions of soldiers, desert, and join the patriots bringing their weapons with them?

It would be a terrible thing to happen but I think if given enough provocation the sons and daughters of the pioneers, the pilgrims, and the patriots, and the grandchildren and g-grandchildren of the greatest generation, would remember who they are, and would rise up and take remove these people from power.

There is no "fundamental transformation of America" in our future. America is going to be canceled out like it never existed and the people are going to be happily brought into the new order of freedom and equality and economic justice for all! And it won't be done by open warfare - popular acclaim is much more likely.

For at least the last one hundred years they have been whittling away at the bedrock that our country was built upon. They have been debasing our currency, mis-educating and indoctrinating our youth, corrupting our marketplace, corrupting our leaders and increasing civil discord - and they are going to keep on doing this until we willingly accept their offered solution to all the strife and turmoil that they've caused.

To hear the old geezers on Free Republic talk they are just about ready to take up arms - but when they were young enough to have actually done so no one did a thing. Why? Because the level of stress and the rate of change was kept at a level that they could accept.

And the generation behind us oldsters? They were educated from day one in the new, modern way of thinking and are much more accepting of government intrusion in their lives. They are quite happy to accept "reasonable" restrictions on their freedoms - all for the greater good you know. And the generation behind them just now coming of age politically? Many of them would not only accept outright communism but would actually fight in the streets for it.

But that won't happen until the old geezers are gone because some of those old guys just might fight back and that could possibly get out of control. The plan has been in the works for much too long and is progressing much too well to take that kind of risk. And why take any risk at all? The day is coming - one more generation, maybe two - and we will be begging them to free us from the tyranny of that old white man's Constitution. All that's needed is patience and just a little more time.

Christianity and Yoga: Is it Really Okay?

quote:

Did you know that our beloved country has a history of repurposing and repackaging things that we didn’t necessarily discover? Take our beloved Christmas tree for example. Did you know that decorating trees and giving money was a part of worship to various gods during Egyptian times? It is also part of the Germanic pagan solstice tradition.

The exchange of wedding rings did not originate in the church, and various religions worship and practice meditation, prayer, and fasting just like Christians. So should I take my ring off based on the original intent, or stop purchasing Christmas trees and decorations because the Egyptians utilized the tree first? No, I don’t, because I serve a God who can redeem anything, as He is the Creator of all.

The Bible speaks specifically about key elements used in most forms of yoga: meditation, breathing, and movement. For me, Acts 17:18 sums it up: “For in Him we live and move and exist.” So I will put truth up against philosophy any day, as philosophy is simply man’s attempt to understand God, His creations, and purpose. Joshua 1:8 reminds me to meditate on His Word day and night; Genesis 2:7 defines the source of my life: “He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person”; and numerous Scriptures speak of our bodily posture toward God. King David had a keen understanding that our outward posture is reflective of what’s going on inside, because God, the originator of the mind-body connection, knows that the way we move can positively or negatively affect the heart and mind...

So throw away those rings and NO CHRISTMAS FOR YOU!!! :)

As a Christian, I don’t celebrate pagan Christmas. Why? Because it has become a secular celebration about eating too much and getting drunk, and buying useless consumer stuff (hint, the modern “Christmas” has nothing to do with Christ and everything to do with commercial consumer culture—you’re free to sing Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Jingle Bell Rock, but think about it, when was the last time you heard Away in the Manger or other Christ centered hymn being played?).
Do some research, most Protestants were strongly opposed to Christmas for the same or similar reasons up until the mid to late 1800s, when “progressive” Christianity began to take hold. I’m fine with going to an advent service or a Christmas Eve service at church (but even there, the Christmas Eve service has basically become pagan in most Protestant churches), but that’s where it ends for me.

On rings, there is mixed authority for and against them in Scripture. Giving wedding rings is also relatively recent in Protestant denominations. This one I don’t have a real problem with, because it is neutral and not wicked and can be seen as a sign of commitment to a Christian marriage.

The one you really have to watch out for is Halloween, that is completely Satanic. And see how it has grown in America the past few years. It is becoming bigger than Christmas. A very bad sign of what is happening in our country spiritually.

Yeah, people who claim to be Christians also engage in homosexual activity, which is explicitly prohibited by Scripture. Check out I Cor. 6:9 as well as numerous other scriptures.
The fact is, most people who claim to be Christians aren’t. If America were in fact 70-80% Christian, as people claim, you would have a totally different country from what it actually is now. Especially in terms of what people think is ok in entertainment.

For starters, Exodus 12:8-11

quote:

8 That same night they are to eat the meat roasted over the fire, along with bitter herbs, and bread made without yeast. 9 Do not eat the meat raw or boiled in water, but roast it over a fire—with the head, legs and internal organs. 10 Do not leave any of it till morning; if some is left till morning, you must burn it. 11 This is how you are to eat it: with your cloak tucked into your belt, your sandals on your feet and your staff in your hand. Eat it in haste; it is the Lord’s Passover.

Yoga is worship. It is the worship of (other) gods (devils, demons, evil spirits). Specifically, Hindu gods. As it is the worship of anything other than the Creator God, and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, it is idolatrous.

Whom or what do you worship?

My rib is an erstwhile yoga instructor as well. Aside from some scripture between poses it’s about the exercise

And when she does hot yoga it’s pretty seriously hard

The exercise feeds her same as running does a runner or tennis a tennis woman

And all things neighbors relative it crates a very nice long muscle physique and a raised butt...No question about the latter

She was raised free will but has been southern baptist. Whole time I’ve known her....20 something years

But just to be safe...

If she agrees I may give her a personal “exorcism” later tonight or tomorrow morning after the kids go to school.....she’s a morning girl..

I bet a lot of yoga women are....yet another sign of the devil btw

She rarely wears them around the home either...

We have three teen and almost teen boys and a lot of their pals around for sleepovers etc sometimes 8-9 15-17 year olds piled upstairs in every room

And she’s modest...
She hides her huge sweater puppies too so they aren’t bouncing around like a tilt a whirl

About a year ago my oldest son needed some Cope

He begged her and as usual she gives in and drives to the local gas and food market where 30-50 construction workers and yard cutters get lunch and she had to walk a gauntlet of stares and whistles

She came home satisfied her instincts had been correct and will never do that again

Yoga profoundly lifted her caboose

After 25 years of it that is

My only warning is it does attract some liberal women...and you have to be aware it’s not a conservative environment like say Free a Will Baptist Sunday school would be or church of God Sunday school

Even in Christian yoga where they go out of their way to incorporate verse into the usual yoga prose
