Another Jimmy thing: In the Asymmetrical Cavern, when it starts glitching you around, after a few times it sent me outside the cavern and RPG maker promptly crashed. Has that uh, happened to anyone else?

No, it was fine for me. I don't think the game is supposed to do that, though an intentional crash wouldn't be out of character. However, it does teleport you to the Path of Enlightenment. Well, sort of.

I am replaying Tactics Ogre PSP and I've forgotten almost everything, I never beat it the first time. Protips for character building/stuff to watch for welcome, particularly traps to avoid. Most of the google results are people hyper-fixated on endgame results prescribing very specific opening strategies, which seems like no fun. I remember that Canopus is god, I put daggers and a bow on him and let him assassinate people. I know Archers are OP and Knights stink. I have no idea what to do with my casters, I've seen people advocate for dark magic so I have a dark enchantress, but I have no idea what to make of the other elements. I have a guy classed into Beast Tamer with Axe/Shortbow and I can't quite figure out numerically why he seems to swing like a wet noodle compared to everyone.

Archers are overpowered, Valkyries are good supports later on with their spells, avoid dark because a ton of enemies are undead so they're effectively useless. A universal skill you want is human anatomy, because most of your story battles is against humans. No really, archers are seriously overpowered because TO works on a turn system based around movement.

Also because Archer range can be much longer than the demonstrated range depending on elevation. Magic attacks become utterly, utterly useless towards the endgame (Like, 1 damage to everything useless).

Crafting is actively horrible to engage in, so either skip it or cheat through it. There's some nice stuff behind it but don't torture yourself by trying to do it legit.

Otherworld is pretty whatever to me. Uematsu didn't even manage to get a band mad at him unlike another Final Fantasy (and composer, Soken) and Powerman 5000.
