Rarity posted:Private business claim that Labour's plan to buy out private business is bad My personal belief is that every company* in the UK, outside of the gov ofc, should be 49% -51%** worker owned, through a representative trust. You 'buy' a share in the trust after 1 year service, you 'sell' the share when you leave. Naturally there would have to be compensation for current share holders but that would be conditional on it being reinvested in the company through the representative trust, not taken as a dividend. Foreign or multinational companies would have to incorporate their holdings in the UK to be a UK ltd. Foreign profits from overseas holdings of UK companies would have to be exempt unfortunately. *Above a certain size and age. **Depending on the structure. Would love to hear the CBI's take on that one. If you don't like crisp chat then just stop, drop and scroll past crisp posts or post about something else instead I mean I'm doing the whole dilapidated streets of britain thing today instead but snackchat was going since before this thread was ever available through dnd and deserves to stay Southend was even more loving miserable than normal today, but I did get my driving licence photocard sorted AND get a full refund on some counterfeit ukulele strings, so go me I guess

I see crisp chat as a necessary breathing space between the on topic discussions which by their nature can get very depressing, so um... Pickled Onion. e: Also there's nothing stopping you from bringing something to the table you think might not have been picked up on yet in the thread and want to talk about it, but you'll have to bring nibbles of the deep fried / baked thin sliced potato variety.

They do these paprika sticks at Budgens which just own every other crisp in existence. Also ordinary salt and vinegar crisps suck but the pringles were great back in the early 00s when they used to burn the inside of your lips.

Are we saying Pringles aren't crisps here? I feel like there must be a whole load of opinions on the best flavours here because there are a lot. Personally I like the pink ones.

At the moment it's just a sea of numbers, and yes, it's basically pointless for anyone with other things to do to try and keep track of it - it requires specialists. Obviously the above isn't a magic bullet but it'd be a small improvement over what's currently there, and at least people would be able to see what's happening, sort of. for the last bit, the correct answer being, of course, we do whatever is required for a high and sustainable quality of life and letting people flourish

Honestly, these are absolutely literally where somebody had a bunch of actual decent flavours of crisps and said "gently caress it" and mixed them all together. They're not unpleasant but putting them up there as your favourite flavour... man. Dill Pickle flavour crisps (another thing I think you only really get in Canada) are better. Know what's an underrated snack that never seems to get mentioned ITT? Smiths Chipsticks. There's nothing else quite like them, they're a little greasy in a good way.

They do have a point though, it's as grating as the Weetman tweets and serves no purpose to the thread. Once a year/month is enough, not every loving day. Telling them to gently caress off is equal in parts to what you're saying you're defending, so drop it.
