Animorphs struck me as ahead of its time and a bit crippled by its business model, since the ghostwritten books and instalments come off as basically filler. Not sure if it was because they needed to sell books monthly or because before Harry Potter no one thought kids had the attention span to read novel-length books.

I don't know why but this has given me a vision of a Dune based family sitcom.

It'll be called "Full House Atreides".

This is brilliant but I have to insist it's Stilgar who pokes his head in to deliver that catchphrase.

And of course the Harkonnens also own the palace next door and are constantly doing poo poo like dumping their leaves in the Atreides' yard (with a hunter-seeker under the pile).

Shaddam is the Padishah Emperor of the HOA for the palace housing development. He keeps trying to figure out how to tow the Sandworms constantly parked illegally in front of the Atreides' palace but they always slip away before the two Sardaukar rent-a-cops can pull up in their golf cart to apply the boot.

Dr. Yueh is now a spice-wealthy plastic surgeon who is constantly trying to score with all women and cruises around in his convertible ornithopter (licenseplate: RICHDOC)
