The funny/lovely thing is it's just a total freak thing and was unrelated to his ankle issue and we see Brady run QB sneaks at like 52 or however old he is with no problem ever.

I'm sure he's not but it's pretty rare, and even rarer to have this type of injury I'd think. Like you could see a concussion or maybe shoulder injury being possible. When he was first lying on the ground on top of his center who did a good job not moving I thought maybe one of the Broncos had pulled a Burfict on him and twisted his bad ankle or something.

Didn't expect that his kneecap had shifted three inches to the right.

I think Schaub's career got derailed by one, lisfranc injury. I remember Tom Savage going out on one too.

But that's a tiny amount versus expectations for 20-30 years of QB sneaks.

Good morning!
Literally any QB could have been injured the same way on a QB sneak. This was a freak injury that had nothing to do with the quality of the o line.

God I hope they don't rush him back. I feel like Andy Reid is tenured enough not to risk that? But who knows in this dumb bloodsport.

How many games does the Chiefs have to lose in a row for the front office to Gary pressuring Mahomes to come back? 4? 3?

Well they're probably going to lose their next two, then first to score wins against the titans.

He wasn't even healthy then! Well healthier at least.

Yeah Green Bay and Minnesota as long as Dalvin Cook stays upright should be losses for KC And now I'm done even thinking about this because if he's out for the year or longer which is still a significant possibility it's just...like roll with Matt Moore because the only thing you might do is spoil the Raiders season. Or the Chargers if they get healthy.

e: In other news it's the morning after I saw my quarterback's kneecap on the side of his leg and I am still sad.

I get your point, but gently caress Tom Brady

Also Darnold’s spleen exploding like a piñata would likely kill him, whereas Tom Brady dislocating his knee would likely result in him acknowledging his age and retiring with his six rings, his millions of dollars, his health (relatively speaking), his supermodel wife, his first ballot hall of fame status, and the smug self-satisfaction of knowing that he will be remembered as the Greatest Football Man of All Time until the NFL folds due to CTE and excessive penalty flags, or until Human Civilization folds due to climate change and global fascism, whichever comes first. No one on planet earth would have any reason to feel bad for him whatsoever

The AFCE thread is still not mentally prepared for the comedy option of when Brady's finally replaced and the Pats end up winning at least as much as they have this era, maybe even more (Brady had the one injury year, the #NextManUp might not). Let them have this, god knows they need Something
