There's so much with that movie. Like that last shot. I understand the basic idea of showing the police entering the theater as some kind of closure to show the main girl's survival, but the weird way the shot lasts for maybe a full second before freeze-framing on the two cops barely in the door makes zero sense.

Action Jacktion posted:Trucker's Woman. Oh for the days when you could literally stalk and assault a woman to get her to like you. It was directed by the same guy who did The Starfighters. His life must've been either really interesting or really dull. Also the guy they say looks like Dr. Giggles really is the guy who played Dr. Giggles (and the villain in Darkman). I've encountered pizza like this.

Latest episode is The Visitor. If you've never seen this movie before, it's absolutely one of the most batshit insane movies you've ever seen. I honestly recommend watching the non-RT version.

I actually have a blu-ray of The Visitor I still haven't watched. I bought it on recommendation of the Alamo Drafthouse's "batshit insane" collection. The posters fuckin' rule, though.

Watched "Star Games" for the first time. Holy poo poo Bill's line about the kid being chased by a bear in the woods. "This is actually the fifth Brian they cast. The other four were a bit ... slower. RIP."

Jose Oquendo posted:Latest episode is The Visitor. Oh gently caress yes! I watched this a few years on Prime Video, and words don't do it justice. I imagine the pitch meeting for this film going something like: "Hey, you know those evil child movies that audiences seem to really like? Well what if we threw in aliens as well?" "I dunno, can we also make look incredibly hippie AND incredibly yuppie at the same time, and include an inexplicable funk soundtrack?" "I don't see why not." "Make that movie!" Edit: Oh poo poo, I almost forgot, it's an Italian-produced English film, which make for some of the best riffing material; competently made enough to be watchable, but idiosyncratic enough to be nearly inscrutable. So is the recording equipment/sound mixing for the riffers different (and distractingly bad) for The Visitor or is it just my ears being all messed up?

I could hear the riffers fine, it was the movie audio that sounded terrible.

Thinking about it, but given the genre and era it's from I'm afraid it's going to be another Rollergator. drat my human hands

Oh the edit wasn’t necessary, it’s absolutely another Rollergator. Shot on tape, chintzy production design, horrible acting, cheap FX—practical and CG—yeah we got the works here. Only difference is that Rollergator is supposed to be a family comedy so it’s dumb in that condescending way that bad family comedies are, making it extra hard to sit through even with a riff. This is just your stupid friend’s lovely attempt at making Independence Day with nothing but the Pennsylvania backwoods and a pocketful of dreams at his disposal.

I will have Rifftrax's Twitch channel on while I play some mindless grind in StarCraft co-op or Diablo III. I think I've seen "How to Set Up a Room" so many times that I've fallen in love with the lady in glasses. It's such a weird loving video.

Oh no, you're not tricking me into watching this again! I already had to check out a longer cut to see if it made more sense (it does but the movie is still a pretentious rehash of the omen and other movies of the time)

Feeders is some sort of mortal sin against shoestring budget horror films, even The Last Sleepover Party does it better. That moustache guy's face is the most terrifying thing, he's one Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite looking gentleman.

Watching an older one, Dinosaurus, and it is a pretty great riff. An extremely racist Irish character, a character named "Dumpy" and a lot of rear projection.

So you say you wanted more Cynthia Rothrock kicking people to death? https://www.rifftrax.com/martial-law

Martial Law is a movie where they just declare that the main character's nickname is "Martial Law" and never actually explain how or why he got it.

Cynthia Rothrock god bless her to isn't trying to overshadow the male lead but he is so forgettable that he could have been replaced by a pillow. Any director worth their salt would have retooled the movie to put her as lead but this is what we got.
