Typical American: Everyone should have it as bad as I had it! This is infuriating, and everyone in my family thinks the same way. They get pissed off when the minimum wage is increased because they want everyone to struggle to survive like they did. K, fine, everyone should be treated the same. Because Vince gets to play fast and loose with the 'Sports Entertainment' branding. SAG comes calling his lawyers go 'nope, this is sports and out of your jurisdiction' Then he does the opposite with athletic commissions. It's the same as the Independent Contractor bullshit. A rich rear end in a top hat owning the law.

Even if they were covered by those, ultimately the workers still have to initiate unionization and the reality is they're mostly not really interested. (At least in WWE.)

there are several professional wrestler unions but none of them have enough bargaining power to really force anyone's hands. Some wrestlers do TV work just to get SAG healthcare or the like. I remember that was part of the deal that Mickie Knuckles was working towards when she started becoming a regular on Springer. David Starr started something up that's attached to a much larger UK union but given that the state of the UK is approaching trashfire, I doubt they'll be of much use CMLL has a union but for all intents and purposes it sounds like a gentrified protection racket.
