I love that this game side-steps the minefield of playing as a cop by having the main character be someone who is an absolutely blank slate not only for opinions but for actual concepts and ideologies. He has to have someone explain "money" to him for gods sake. It lets him go around being super hype about being a police officer because everyone can tell that his concept of what a police officer is is completely separate from reality, as are his opinions on literally everything.

You know I've had a thought about that bugged door for Evrart, did anyone else change their mind for it and accept the quest through the main branch's shortcut option instead of accepting it immediately after he suggests it? I'm wondering if that might just not set the quest triggers right or something. Also for anyone curious I've managed to find the tape for Egg Head, I had to talk to Siileng first, and then he pointed me to a tree nearby which was not to the left like I assumed it meant by "west" but in that little useless area behind his shop.

Finally finished. So there's no magic explanation for the amnesia bender? I was still waiting for something to explain what was so special about that night, but I guess it's just alcoholism. Cannot wait for part 2 where we fight the second Revacholian Civil War and figure out how to stop the Pale! Game good.

okay. i am completely, totally at a loss for what to do. I'm on day 5. can't finish the church sidequest, because the white check is locked. can't re-open the white check because i haven't found anywhere to get experience. can't find ruby, failed the mural check, can't find any more points of interest on the coast i haven't already touched. my journal is barren - aside from like five quests related to progressing with the church. i love this game but when you're pulling a blank goddamn does it feel bad

I had been expecting a firmer answer on that, since just about every other lingering mystery is cleared up by the end.

I've always wondered what that was about, but it leaves a window open that Harry may have been hit by / intentionally hit himself with the Pale which blanked out his knowledge of everything.

Personally I think that the memory loss was planned and intentional, and that his previous breakdowns were test runs for the big one. Exactly why Harry intentionally wiped his memory I'm not sure, not because there's no obvious reason, but because there's many obvious reasons for him to want to do it and it could have been any one of them. That doesn't necessarily rule out the reality hole having something to do with it; indeed, it may have been what finally allowed it to work and really blank his memory.

I gotta say one thing for a very underrated skill by us: Esprit-de-Corps doesn't necessarily relate to police, but in some rare occasions (like dealing with the union) it flares up to say "yes, these men are willing to die for it" in awesome ways and, of course, the stories. There was a random check in a conversation to see what people think of Harry, and amidst the disaster, the captain tells everybody to shut the gently caress up and if they are not going to help one of their own, they better go back to whatever the gently caress they are doing - that was simply just

As for the drug case, first actually make sure you accepted the quest (check the task tab), the quest doesn't get accepted until you agree. You are suppose to investigate this case by talking to the lorry drivers.
