I love Election Day as much as anyone else, but think back on the last year of updates, when it was exclusively free material that was loving god awful and all of the competent team members had left and Bo was steadily running everything into the ground. The promise of "only free content from now on" was a loving joke. If they put out poo poo worth paying for I would've paid for it then when I still cared, not now when they salted the earth. I played both heists from another host. Impressions: The first heist has two major parts. The first one is a mashup of big oil day 1/biker heist day 1 with the layout, a house surrounded with a bunch of tire towers and old cars outside. And also a lot of space near a gas station for some reason. You have to find RNG tarps covering the tunnel, then drill containers to find breaching charges. Then blow open the tunnel. You can find bonus meth in the house and probably other things. Also, once you go through the tunnel, you cannot go back to the biker club. So be mindful of any deployables put there. Then you transition to an airfield that is very large and open. You must then find an airplane in a hanger(random as always) then steal X amounts of coke. It goes from cramped and medium sightlines to being very open and loose with snipers. It emphasizes someone bringing long range weapons, I guess.You find them via election day/train heist crates that you need a crowbar for. I played on mayhem and it took 12 coke bags. Might vary on the difficulty. There is also a copious amount of extra loot of money and rifles; the one I ended on had 21 million dollars in bag values from 34 bags.Then you have to refuel it and blow open gates to get out of there. Took about 35 minutes from start to finish. Overall feels meaty, but also felt more like an endurance run with how long it took with 4 people. There's a bunch of empty crates too, and some you have to do platforming like in election day 2 when finding the voting machines. Money is good, exp seems a bit lacking though. you can apparently stealth it, but I have not tried. The second heist is another meth cook grind heist in the airfield. However, this time the ingredients are locked in trucks you have to crack open, and Locke attempts to read you the instructions. I assume blowing up the meth lab will auto down everybody no matter where they are and will autofail the heist. There isn't much to say about the meth heist. It's just cook off but more tedious. Took about 25 minutes. More exp/money potential than the first heist. Don't know anything about the optics. Overall not as bad at all as I cynically expected. Man, talk about some damning with faint praise... ...well, I've had PD2 still installed for over a year on this PC despite having played only, like, less than an hour in that entire time, so I don't have any excuse not to play this now. I'll let someone else host for me, though, at least up front. Welp. Let's hope I remember how to use my flask.
