we've had a drought for 10 years and then we got an almost normal winter and they declared it over but considering its rained twice in like 7 months its definetly still a drought. people forget that it's the south half of the state that's semi arid.

Oh, we're also looking at mining the area under our water supply and this will have no negative effect on the water supply for 20% of the country at all.

 I saw somebody post this and was thunking about how insane a 20% tip sounds, then I remembered the crazy system ya'll have set up where workers get their pay from tips. Tipping and the culture it's cultivated is hosed up.

My favorite part is the fact that (at least in some states) employers can pay less than minimal wage as long as their employee makes up the difference in tips. Of course if that's still not enough to reach minimal wage the employer will need to make up the difference and, I assume, will end up firing that employee for proving too expensive.
