The issue people have with stuff like Katie Hill is fundamentally that conservatives aren't held accountable for the things they do and say. They get to hold positions of power, teach and groom kids, etc. It's frustrating to see someone get taken down by relatively mild bad behavior while the media tut tuts people booing the president(whose crimes include sex crimes) and chanting to lock him up. She absolutely should've resigned. Worse is tolerated from the right every day, and worse is on the supreme court and in the office of the president.

They get to hold positions of power, teach and groom kids, etc. I think one of the fundamental disconnects a lot of people have here is that what she did (independent of the revenge porn aspect which is incredibly gross and illegal) was not relatively mild bad behavior. Creating a sexually coercive environment (which is what you create by having sex with subordinates) isn't a mild bad behavior. It's extremely toxic and ripe for the sort of systemic abuse we constantly see in congress and elsewhere. Also 100% yes Clinton should have resigned.

Republicans don't resign because they have an entire media network explicitly designed to shield them from consequences. They can afford to be hypocrites. Democrats by contrast face an entirely different media environment and don't have the luxury of being able to get away with being utter scum. also if Clinton had resigned then it's possible that Gore might have gone on to win in 2000 so I'm going to go with "double yes"
