Pretty sure that the threat of Chicken Coup 2: Electric Cluckaloo is just the Labour melts bluffing in a desperate attempt to make Corbyn back out. Blowing up Labour's hopes on the eve of an election would earn them the hatred of the left and even the more Remain focused side of the party would be angry at them for enabling a Tory Brexit. It's a move that only the FBPEs would support.

we do have Building Standards (update due 2021) and the Tolerable Standard. for private tenants there's the Repair Standard, while social tenants in Scotland have SHQS with the main improvements driven by EESSH.

but most domestic statutory obligations are driven by a duty of care more than specific legislation. this is especially true for social housing which is exempt from the Repairing Standard due to having its own regulator and differing standards

if you want a horror story figure out who is responsible for maintaining lifts in residential blocks and what legislation covers it

Depending on your budget, Ryzen or first gen threadrippers should start coming down in price with the new ones on the horizon (and the boards work with latest gen). Ryzens are amazing performance/£ though.

yes. Wrecking (?) amendments time, with some judo over SNP and LDEM votes

I expect at least one 16-17 amendment then. There is also speculation on an amendment to allow settled EU citizens to vote

Just catching up after a busy morning - are those amendments going in and will they be voted on today/tonight? (Subtext of question - should I bother putting BBC Parliament on the telly in the background instead of the old episodes of Scrubs I'm currently using to drown out the drilling outside?)

It's something that undoubtedly should be done, but probably doesn't so much for Labour chances (yes I know you're not bothered about that) because EU citizens are already concentrated in fairly strong Labour areas.

There is a rule that there needs to be sufficient ventilation to stop mold forming, and TBH that's much better done with an extractor than a window.
