EA sports stopped making NCAA games because a judge ruled that they owed people compensation for the likeness and such that was used because even though they just put QB8, it was still modeled off the actual QB for the team that wore the number 8. EA said they couldn't pay active college players and it was too much trouble to continue to pay post-collegiate players.

I dunno if they're bring back NCAA football because they'll have to pay every player in it.

You really need to post the whole description:

"Behind closed doors the Democrats scheme and plot to take down Trump. How many new lies will be manufactured in an attempt to smear the President, to further their impeachment campaign against him? Who will be the next Democratic nominee for President and what will they do to get there? No matter how much they lie, cheat, and steal for the presidency, they cannot fool the American people.

Where did I get the idea for this? Each time I release a new painting someone from the left would comment, “That’s no better than that painting, “Dogs Playing Poker!”

What a great idea! This encouraged me to paint the truth regarding what the left is doing in a unique and humorous way. I think this painting will be remembered for how Trump triumphed over all these deceitful Democrats. Their names will be forgotten, but Trump will be remembered as the President who sacrificed himself to "Keep America Great!"

Who is sitting at the table? Back row left to right: Beto O’Rourke, Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders - Front row: Peter Buttigieg, and Cory Booker"

This is the resolution they'll be voting on Thursday. It basically tells the committees to continue investigating except they can now hold hearings in public, the leading republican will get 90 minutes along with the chair to question people in addition to the 5 minutes per committee member, and the ranking minority member can issue subpoenas for witness testimony with the chair's permission. It has nothing in it about authorizing the impeachment because that isn't required.

What has Trump sacrificed? He holds and held the highest office in the land. His wife hasn't divorced him and his kids haven't told him to gently caress off. He has personally enriched himself and his friends, and has probably used the office to gently caress over his enemies in ways that probably wont be revealed until the post mortem. Even though he's probably committed numerous crimes at this point, is effectively immune to prosecution until after all this, and chances are those charges will probably not be pursued due to a combination of :decorum: and him being a "rich" white dude.

From the CHUD point of view, the best line I've heard about this is, "When you were born and lived as the oppresser, fairness feels like oppression."

For Trump it's a narcissist not getting absolute, fawning servility from the entire world magnifying his eternal glory in every possible way at all times.

quote:

With political gridlock stalling negotiations over the annual defense authorization bill, the chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee on Tuesday unveiled plans for his backup “skinny” version of the legislation to ensure critical military programs continue uninterrupted into next year.

Sen. Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., said he remains hopeful a compromise can be found on the massive $738 billion defense policy measure in the coming weeks.

. . .

What’s not in it?

. . .

“Widow’s tax” fix: Advocates have been pushing for a permanent fix to federal offset rules that take away tens of thousands in military benefits from some surviving spouses, but the price tag of the proposals — about $5.7 billion over 10 years — have made negotiations difficult.

Ask me about Proposition 305

Do you like muskets?

quote:

The FAA material, provided in response to a TSG Freedom of Information Act request, details how Inhofe, 76, chose to land on the main runway at the Cameron County Airport on October 21 despite being aware that it was closed and had a large ‘X’ on its threshold.

The politician, the FAA investigation determined, “still elected to land avoiding the men and the equipment on the runway.” In a bid to avoid “legal enforcement action,” Inhofe, who has a commercial pilot’s license, agreed to “complete a program of remedial training,” according to an FAA letter sent in January to the third-term Republican senator from Oklahoma. Inhofe is pictured at right.

Shortly after Inhofe landed, Sidney Boyd, who was supervising construction on the closed runway, called the FAA to report that Inhofe’s plane, a twin-engine six-seater, initially touched down on the runway and then “'sky hopped' over the six vehicles and personnel working on the runway, and then landed.”

During the call, which was recorded by the FAA, Boyd said Inhofe’s antics “scared the crap out of” workers, adding that the Cessna “drat near hit” a red truck. Referring to the vehicle’s driver, Boyd added, “I think he actually wet his britches, he was scared to death. I mean, hell, he started trying to head for the side of the runway. The pilot could see him, or he should have been able to, he was right on him.”

Boyd also said that Inhofe showed little contrition following the close call. “He come over here and started being like, 'What the hell is this? I was supposed to have unlimited airspace.'”

Maybe I should just tell Inhofe that the FAA is in favor of the offset.

On the Armenian massacre vote, three house members voted present. One was Ilan Omar. She released a statement saying that she was glad that people were finally acknowledging the genocide, that it isn't something that should be used as a political tool, and that the USA should also acknowledge numerous other genocides including our own against americans natives.
