Hell, the Greens are running a candidate this year, so that'll split the pro-Indy vote even more lmao.

I think the candidate they're putting up against David Mundell in my area is Nick Chisholm who seems to be pretty much a ghost as far as I can tell. He's been on a fisheries board, maybe another historical buildings board?

i always feel weirdly lovely about calling out snp's TERF bullshit for rhetorical effect, idk. like, not because they don't deserve it because they totally, totally do and worse, it's just - i dunno. this poo poo is so loving vile and so directly impacts posters itt i felt like it would always read as concern trolling for something i should absolutely not be concern trolling over. take it as read that i support sonicfox and not the ghouls that get rolled out into the scottish parliament.

God I love me some Corbs. It feels like we're on such a precipice at the moment, I'm hype but goddamn do the results of failure in this election look dark. On a tactical.vote note, I'm in Somerton and Frome, this was the 2017 and they suggest Lib Dem. It's pretty close between them and Lab - thoughts? I want to vote Labour obvs but there's not much promising info on the constituency website. Conservative 36,231 56.71% Liberal Democrat 13,325 20.86% Labour 10,998 17.21% Green 2,347 3.67% Independent 991 1.55% I left Facebook earlier this year, but while I was there almost no one on the local group had anything good to say about our landlord-MP, even those who hated Corbyn for whatever lazy reason.

Venomous posted:It may surprise you to find out that elections to the Scottish Parliament are not, in fact, conducted under First Past The Post (FPTP), which potentially allows the election of smaller parties to government such as, for example, the Scottish Greens, who are explicitly not a bunch of TERFy centrists, unlike the SNP I vibe with a lot of this. But my seat is pretty safe SNP currently at both Holyrood & Westminster so I'll just toss my vote to Labour out of sympathy/pity because it'll make no loving difference anyway. I will continue voting Green at Holyrood in the regional list because they are the most viable left wing party we have. Which is sort of why I don't really feel comfortable calling myself an anarchist, I do still vote and all that because I feel like not taking part isn't taken as signs of anger at neoliberalism, it's just seen as not caring, and I absolutely care. So I just go for libertarian socialist because it's such a broadly defined term.

Labour have never been higher than third there, whereas the seat has been Lib Dem in the past. I don't blame you if you wanna vote Labour though. The current MP increased his vote share and majority in 2017 though, so expect that seat to stay blue.

Check this Tory oval office out: “In May 2019 a five-year investigation helped to expose slave-like wages, abuse of tenants and workers, and squalid conditions in both commercial and residential properties at a company owned by Lopresti's family.[31] Those involved were legally restricted under the Modern Slavery Act, resulting in the owners no longer being allowed to be employers, with investigations and possible further legal action being considered to deal with the low quality of housing offered by the family.[32]” That seat may be gettable, he’s got a 4K majority.

I'm not sure I follow exactly. You shouldn't call out TERF's because it doesn't directly affect you so it just looks like some sort of virtue signalling?
