I may be a crusty old coot who's only played one game past the first generation, but Frogadier is the best second stage of them all and I will not budge on this matter.

You left out the generation with the highest net amount of good starters, what sort of list is this supposed to be?

Intelleon loving rules, I knew it just needed art or animation. Delphox's game model was stiff and made it look bad at first too but in art and animation she's good.

It's kind of a shame though, I bet Intelleon would have had an insanely cool Z-Move.

I completely agree, but all of their middle evos are bad.

Cipher Pol 9

I don't think Monferno or Grotle are bad but they are not especially noteworthy. Gen 5 is like 2 in that it actually does just "bigger and more" for the starters which means they finish very strong but the middles are very transitional so they don't stand out on their own. They're like the middle Animorph forms but less horrifying.

Supersonic Shine
Oct 13, 2012
I dunno about less horrifying: Monferno looks like it's gonna throw flaming shits at somebody.

Incorrect. Monferno is in the running for all-timer on middle stages. Grotle is a friendly strong boy. The worst is Prinplup and he would be tops in half the gens

The best starters have always been the ones based on Turtles (Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Turtwig) the ones based on Birds (Rowlet, Torchic, Piplup) and the ones based on Monkeys (Chimchar, Grookey) and Gen IV is the only Generation so far to recognize this and do all three at once.
