If a lady doesn't like a particular term, the gentlemanly thing to do is not use that term. It may be a term that is more acceptable in some circles than others, it's easy enough not to use. Today I was visiting my very elderly, religious grandma and i brought up transgenders just because I thought her reaction would be funny. Our conversation basically went like this: Me: (smirking) Grandma, what do you think about transgender people? Like, you know those men who get surgery to try to become women? Grandma: (Shaking head) People nowadays are crazy! People need to learn accept with what they have!! They need to learn to be happy with what they have! I laughed at first because this is a very simplistic take on the transgender problem...but the more I think about it the more I think it actually speaks to the core of the issue. Transgenders refuse to appreciate the reality of what they are. They are so jealous of the opposite sex that they want to hijack it and twist it around until they can pretend to be part of it. They are so dissatisfied with themselves that they throw almighty tantrums every time they hear women speaking about feminine things that they as men can't experience Someone in a Facebook group I'm a member of posted a picture of their young daughter and her teacher in their Halloween costumes. The teacher was obviously trans, so that made me wonder. What would you do if you brought your young child to class on the first day of school and the teacher was trans? Would you have them moved to another class? If that wasn't an option, would you go move them to another school entirely? Personally, I wouldn't be comfortable with that at all and would do whatever necessary to have my child taken out of the class.

Your chronology about Haiti is pretty hosed up, but uh, I definitely didn’t say that the US was good to Haiti at any point or that France is a racism-free paradise. The revolutions definitely do go together though, in that they all happen at the same time and in the same places and many of the major players meet each other and collaborate (or fight). That uh, doesn’t mean everything turned out well for everyone. I kinda said as much.

The only way to stay on top of the pile of poo poo is to make sure you stink more than all the other turds. If a decent part of what you do involves people knowing your name and you have no dignity then this is a stellar way to stay current.
