I don't care about my wrestlers/celebrity political takes or even their personal lives and feelings that much. They entertain me every week and that's all I ask. Putting these people on a pedestal has never been my thing tho.

I don't think you have to "put someone on a pedestal" to just not want them to be bad people or do bad things. Like that's not elevating them, its just the standard I hold all people to. In general I think anyone who says "I don't care what X does outside of what I enjoy in Y" is basically fibbing. For most people there is a line that exists somewhere that would make you stop being a fan of X or stop enjoying Y. It might not be the line in question but there's one somewhere. There's some terrible thing that they could do that would make you say "ok, that's too far." This just wasn't that. Not a lot of people can truly distance the art from the artist THAT fully especially with something like wrestling where you're engaging directly with the "artist".

There were loads of people going on about it and the mods kept taking posts down either bitching about him or calling people snowflakes. I think the mod position was that Jericho was speaking as a podcast host and not as a wrestler so please shut the gently caress up about it.

I do feel like people are starting to sour a little on AEW for some unknown reason. It sounded like Bryan really enjoyed AEW on Wednesday judging from his tweets, though, so I’m not sure what’s going on.
