This election taking place after a year of constantly pushed-back deadlines means I think Brexit is a lot more of a focus for many people (if you look at the polling since the last election, you can the plunge begin sharply around March (insert standard disclaimer about polling)), and that's specifically a problem in Scotland because, as seems to be our main problem in Scotland generally, the SNP are seen as more credible on our position than we are. So that's a negative. Thank you, that leaves me feeling more hopeful than I was before  It sounds like we are in a reasonably good position given the legacy Blairites we've been stuck with, and at the very least we should emerge in a better position after the election. And maybe we'll get some nice gains

I briefly lived in Sheffield, moving not long after the major flooding in 2007 and even 2 months after you could still a lot of signs of damage around the Loxley. Hope everyone is able to keep safe.

Was out in Chingford and Woodford Green this eve, canvassing to try to unseat IDS. Was a good time, hoping to make it out more this election than the handful of times I managed in 2017! The number of people turning out on a cold thursday evening was really inspiring.

Within a few minutes it turned into an absolutely horrendous racist diatribe. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. They're what I would call 'natural UKIPers'. (One of my nans was - supported everything Labour except for 'the darkies').

Purely tactics you want to waste as much of their time as possible and give them the most untrue information possible. So if you can stomach it talk a long time, invite them in for a cup of tea obviously make it lovely and pale so they get no pleasure or pep from it, pretend your whole family will vote however you do. Leave them thinking that you would never ever vote Labour. If you've kept them there for like an hour then absolutely indulge in the "I actually think poors are human and Tories are scum get the gently caress out you worm" punchline but technically speaking it is better for them to think they have a safe vote with you when you're the opposite.
