Debbie Does Dagon posted:I don't know where wrestling fans find the time, I can barely fit in AEW, NXT, and NJPW, let alone any podcasts on top of that. Being a wrestling fan is like having a full time job It's a struggle. I recommend getting fired and being unemployed. Especially because it means being able to watch Japanese shows live. Like last Monday, sure, could have a job, get paid, be able to afford to eat, but instead just watch the big Dragon Gate show in my underwear at 11am, it's fine. Poison Jam posted:I got really high during the last election and went to sleep before the results came in I got really drunk & barfed in the sink and blocked it, so that was fun to wake up to the next day & have to unblock with a roaring hangover & the knowledge that the Tories were yet again the largest party. I'm pretty sure that was the last time I am going to get black out drunk.

Pilchenstein posted:"Skilled Wallets" is almost close to being a coherent slogan about people earning more when highly trained or some piss, I dunno. Regardless, the actual slogan was SKILLS WALLETS which is much more abstract and confusing From what I've seen and not explored in detail, it's like the new Labour "individual learning accounts" from late 1990s which scheme was stopped after a year or so because of wide spread fraud before I used my £125

If the lib dems want to pay for my £600 nebosh elearning module, be my guest. I know they won’t pay *that* much. Spreading misinformation via junk mail should be illegal, especially when you say you’re the party to combat climate change.

It's £9k over three lifetime installments, so £600 should be fine. Not that they'll ever have to deliver on this

My grandad fought in ww2 but the most important thing he ever did was tell me what a Tory was and drill the phrase “when you cut a liberal a Tory bleeds”. He was a shop steward and staunch socialist. Miss that lovely man

I feel like the Lib Dems are doing that thing which isn't shitposting but it's the thing the BBC thinks shitposting is where you put out utter trash to create publicity about something. I haven't got to the bottom of skill wallets, but I've heard so much about them in the past few hours it's definitely well advertised even if it hasn't been explained yet. It's taken up a lot of airspace for sure.

Ms Adequate posted:e; ^^^ A twitter friend shared the flat cloverleaf last night and I was pure creasing It's great because if you follow the design through it sort of makes sense! Right up until the entire reason it's a cloverleaf rather than just... a junction with sliproads... falls apart because the actual cloverleaves mean you have to go through the central junction twice.. So you swap turning across the oncoming traffic once for dodging traffic from both directions twice. It's the kind of thing you build in cities skylines just to torture your cims.

Jaeluni Asjil posted:https://boris-johnson-lies.com/ Oborne is the mythical principled Conservative who deeply and sincerely believes in conservatism as an ideology. This makes him unpleasant in some ways and breathtakingly naive in others, but it gives him a genuinely fascinating perspective on the world. He doesn't criticise Conservatives out of hatred or opportunism, but disappointment that they are not living up to the conservative ideals he loves (again, several of which are fairly awful, but they are sincere). He doesn't stick up for Corbyn out of support for socialist policies, but respect for someone who is engaging in British parliamentary democracy as it is supposed to be engaged with - you can't be a sincere conservative and fail to love something several centuries old.
