I didn't even know about Union Juvenil Cruceñista joining the opposition in Santa Cruz, and now people are implying I'm a Nazi apologist. People are viewing this issue in very rigid black and white terms and dismissing the comments of the only Bolivian in this thread. This is a complex situation that is happening in my country, and there are many, many people that think Morales was a wannabe dictator. This will likely be my last comment in this thread. Adiós y Viva Bolivia carajo! Please source your quotes.

You call this a right wing coup, but this doesn't erase the fact that Bolivians from all strides of life are tired of living under the boot of a man who thirsts for power. We have had too many dictatorships in our history. Not one more.

Stalin laughs from the Void about the naivety of pink tide socialism staving off eternally renewing USA imperialism by making flowering overtures about "collaboration and cooperation." I like Evo Morales. He is a true moral leader. People should, however, take note about the weakness and vulnerability of electoral socialism.

i like to think i am pretty educable. i have read thoroughly, and am now educated in all of the ways electrified cables are used to torture people in stadiums. with this knowledge i become above it all, knowing that there is suffering in this world, but also that that's just the way things work in this world; those who confront me on my enlightened view with harsh words are enacting a violence equal to if not worse than the guys burning indigenous families alive.

I remember a light skinned upper class bolivian family friend saying that, in Bolivia, he always felt he was white, but upon visiting the US, he saw what whiteness REALLY was, and settled, lamenting he'll never be truly white as the chosen anglos of the US, and recalibrated his notion of social standing around that "realization"

an "ally" who needs instruction to know who is suffering and how to distinguish between those who're suffering and those who are causing suffering is not an ally at all. at best they are a distraction to those who don't have time for that because they're currently going through a crisis and need all hands on deck; at worst, they are going to inevitably collaborate with those who cause suffering. the alt-right recruits alienated teen dudes by exploiting the fragility of their egos, engaging their obviously wrong ideas so that their sensitive feelings (built on wrong foundations) aren't hurt and they feel like they can belong to something. it's not a good idea to coddle those wrong ideas because those ideas, in the long run, produce only more suffering, so they aren't worth giving an inch to. if you want to say "well being made fun of makes me want to side with the death squads," then reexamine the foundation of who you are. if you want to learn but youre getting jeered a lot when you participate, it's not everyone else's fault; its yours and you should lurk more.

- if its a dictatorship they'll cry foul and try to coup/regime change you - if you're democratic they'll lie, call you a dictator and try to coup you anyway evo morales was one of the least objectionable people in world politics, a guy who genuinely improved his country and did good works and didn't bloody his hands to do it, and the hatchet job liberals and the liberal press have done on him is eye opening.
