It never ceases to amaze me how Trump’s fear of being perceived as a failure drives his every move. The Dollop episode on the greaseball did day his Dad basically mentally abused him and his family growing up into fearing any perception of losing, but you’d think the guy would get over it by now. Especially after screwing up hard on countless real estate opportunities, his “school”, and a loving casino. It’s just another example on top of things like how he grips on to the skewed-as-all-hell rasmussen polls holding him at 50% as his proof he isn’t completely failing in his presidency.

Childhood trauma never washes away fully and you don't deal with it without a lot of work and introspection. Both of which ol Donny T is literally incapable of. Not that this excuses him in any way

This guy is a shithead and I find it hilarious that Uber's greatest accomplishment has been liberating VC's from their money and distributing it as cheap rides to drunken millennials and murdering them if they jaywalk. Quintessential silicon valley.

I have an idea, stick with me here... what if we make all of our decisions based on a contest? Trump will feel compelled to try to influence it in some way and we record each time he tries. Then we just let the downward spiral happen. *BOOM* I am free for consultations

The idea that GOP senators voting in secret to remove Trump would save the GOP from electoral apocalypse is laughable. All it means is that the entire party would lose the votes of Red Hats staying home. That's why I seriously doubt the GOP politicians ever go against Trump until he's out of there White House. Losing enough red hat votes to her primaried or wiped out in a general election is a certainty. The idea that moderates or right leaning Dems would save them for removing Trump is dubious at best. If Trump's criminality and corruption became obvious enough to the public as a whole for him to be removed the whole GOP bears his stench and would get swept away in the tide regardless of how they voted.

the idea that multiple GOP senators would defect to pass a rules change is also ridiculous for one, they would be immediately swamped with death threats from the far right, at bare minimum

the republicans are a bunch of cowards that have created a base so stupid, bigoted, and greedy that they themselves cannot do what is right for the country without drawing their ire and condemnation. I am at the point of hating the situation as it is in this country. We have two right wing parties that care more about the minority of donors than the people that actually need a functional government to help them. There are two things that I think could help this situation of right wingers being so horrible. Create a media outlet that is not governed by ratings and advertisement. Fact check both establishment dems and GOP members in real time. The gaslighting is so infuriating ManBoyChef fucked around with this message at 15:40 on Nov 12, 2019 |
