This is the one job I will always try and contract out when I diy stuff. What would take me weeks to make look passable could be done in 3 half days by guys who know what they are doing.

The baseboard heating has migrated up the walls.

I did such a poo poo slop job of mudding on round one and tape is visible so I know if I go and sand to smooth it out I'm going to start tearing tape and oh boy why did I start this when I need to travel for work this week and have friends staying over the night after I Get back.

Who are you, and why should I care?

Those are giant sheets of drywall. I think when my dad and I did our basement 20 years ago it took at least a weekend to hang everything and that was just a rectangle room. I imagine they could be done in an hour.

They looked a lot longer than 8’? I was watching it on my phone so maybe I missed the edges in the stack in the middle?

Welcome and thank you for shopping at Wal-Mart!
I love you!
Yeah, that stack on the floor looks like at least 16' long. Probably 20', it's almost touching the back wall of the garage, and goes out to the edge of the slab. I don't see a seam in the middle of the stack, so its definitely not two stacks of 4x12. The sheets leaning against the wall are cut down already, I'm assuming the guy working on the stack is just there to cut to whatever length the other guys need to hang.

That's honestly a great idea. Probably more waste, but think of how many walls you could do with minimal seams if you were hanging 20' long sheets of drywall. Hell, I'd probably have been able to do the long wall in my basement with 4 sheets instead of 8-10 if I had those.

They come in at least 12' lengths now, I had a 9x11 room done with no seams except the corners

You can buy 16’ sheets at lowes right off the floor, nothing special there.

And make sure to attach your line to the far end of the pillar so it's in compression instead of tension.
