There's some people in my office that abstract data from Epic (electronic medical record software) into a database. They have this totally Orwellian software on their computers that keeps track of everything they're doing, and even records if they don't move their mouse every so often (presumably this is a sign of inactivity).

Also you can imagine reading people's medical records can be very depressing (these are all transplant patients).

She scans through the memo, hitting the Page Down button at reasonably regular intervals, occasionally paging back up to pretend to reread some earlier section. The computer is going to notice all this. It approves of rereading. It's a small thing, but over a decade or so this stuff really shows up on your work-habits summary.
