Rudolph started that fight and then went up swinging at a guy already being held back. I’m not saying beaning him with a helmet is the right thing to do, but he was acting in self defense. There was one man already holding him and another very large man running to grab him. Suddenly some other guy that’s been yelling at you comes swinging, the natural response is to defend oneself. Considering the three on one circumstances of this altercation, his actions make sense and were justified.

What was Rudolph going to do to him that swinging a helmet at his head, while another player was already between them, was the appropriate knee jerk response?

Fearing for his safety isn’t an excuse when you’re a 275lb lineman in full pads and a 210lb QB is trying to go through someone to get to you. That only works for cops.

Yeah they kinda get payed money to hit each other in armor. Removing the armor from someone’s head then clobbering them with it could be lethal.

Jk, sportsmen are heroes, he'll be suspended for two games at the worst.

I disagree, definitely gonna be out for the rest of the season. This was really really bad, not even the Browns QB was defending him postgame.

If he had just pulled off the helmet, yeah two game suspension. But bashing him in the head with it could have caused a career ending injury, and makes the NFL’s narrative of caring about CTE look bad.

I want to say that president Smoothbrain giving a pardon to him would, finally, be going too far and there would be consequences.

I really, really want to but I feel reality would just be all "loving  on you", dick-slap my optimism, then moon walk out of the room.

In the span of about two hours, the president likely tweeted himself into an impeachment count for witness intimidation, while his longtime lackey got convicted on seven counts of obstruction, lying to Congress, and witness tampering.
