Yeah, refusal to listen to anything other than certain news sources means that the political beliefs associated with them will never change, whether it's a FOX News CHUD or a cult member getting news only from XanthosTheWorldBurnerIsComing.com

I didn't want to post this because I frankly don't give a gently caress about the allegations and I don't want to give them credence, but a Univ. of Michigan professor ran a model and concluded that if all the alleged fraudulent votes were given to the opposition instead of Evo, he still would've won by over 10%:

the "cult" lady is Jhanisse V. Daza, the "activist" trained by Western-back regime-change NGOs with ties to Extinction Rebellion and, as we've recently learned, Jared Leto's Echelon cult (which is itself almost assuredly some kind of intelligence op)

the "purge the indigeneous" lady is Jeanine Anez, leader of the legislative opposition who declared herself Interim President with the ouster of Evo Morales, and began her "term" by bringing back a huge bible into the capital and promising Christianity to return to Bolivia

I made the conclusion that XR is controlled by western intelligence services after seeing their "red-handed" protest (where they encouraged people spray-painting their hand on public buildings and turning themselves in to the police), but has anyone actually done a deep dive on this?

Cory Morningstar over at the wrong kind of green has a good but lengthy write up on XR and Greta thunberg being astroturf operations run by an emerging green capitalist class. they are banking on governments and corporations investing 90 trillion over the next 15-20 years on climate related industries.

The real aim is to pre-empt any genuine left wing environmentalist politics. Greta Thurnberg gets put out as a spokesperson because as a child they can easily control her message, and she'll stay popular so long as she never actually crosses the line into attacking capitalism directly. She's gotten close by attacking limitless growth ideology, but capital can easily thread that needle by either marginalizing it completely or embracing it - because "no growth" capitalism is functionally equivalent to feudalism.

to clarify, we’re talking about the people who were backing her, and not asserting that she’s actually intentionally in on this, right? because I don’t think she’s intentionally acting as a mouthpiece for the rich in the same way that lady stanning for regime change in Bolivia is.

greta's fine. she keeps saying infinite growth is the problem because it is and also she's 16, as soon as she says something too political people will go insane, because how could this brat who can't even vote dare try to judge the system she can't possibly understand.

if she's still not saying capitalism is the problem when she's 18, then it's problematic.

maybe you can get a liberal to question for a moment their unshakeable trust in these liberal institutions by pointing out the insane iraq war propaganda:

They are incapable of learning from the past because, at the end of the day, they just don't care. To them, it's simply about feeling like a good person in the moment. It's not about reality or the people harmed by these circumstances. It's about getting to feel like you're a good ally listening to The Bolivian/Venezuelan/etc People. If you bring up how they were wrong and are using the same logic that made them be wrong before, then you're just being a weird person who is "sea lioning" them.

The only way to approach the topic is to just realize that these people are fundamentally no different from Freepers or any other group of dumbasses who are wrong about everything. I personally have trouble doing this and continue to argue with these people like a moron, but it's ultimately all pointless.

It's a lost cause, because they won't contest that WaPo (etc) are bad sometimes; they just still think that they should be treated as true by default until proved otherwise. The idea that you can possibly just not know for sure what's happening is insane to them, so they have to choose something to trust, and they sure as hell aren't going to trust any non-mainstream media.

ya, the critical thing to understand about liberals is that they don't actually BELIEVE in anything, it's all a narrative to them and they're the ones writing it

the best you can do is try to break their confidence with things that force them to either admit you're right or admit they're wrong, like asking why Manchin and Sinema announcing they'd vote for Trump and with the GOP if Bernie wins didn't get them a single denouncement from the Dems despite their being sitting Senators, but if a socialist says they don't intend to vote for a center right Democrat it's time for hysterics

they either admit that they sympathize and like the Republicans a lot more and would be fine if Trump got a 2nd term in the end, or they admit there's a double standard that they're participating in. Then 5 minutes later they forget the conversation ever happened
