of course what I remembered as a sweet heartwarming anthology story would turn out to be an elaborate juggalo analogy, if it came from here Man it's just like I remembered though. You did a great job finding that, after fruitlessly pestering three threads I was sure it would be lost to the ages. drat, now I need to make new afterlife plans, I was sure in 30-40 years I'd be haunting the ruins of the SA server farm going mousssse friendsssss at scavengers.

There was a fake catalog i remember reading as a kid, in the mid 90's, just to set the era. A Russian kid in my social studies class, 6th grade, had lent it to me. The book was full of pencil illustrations of all the various gag gifts, including underwear that could inflate (of course, a google search for inflatable underwear was not very useful), and other bizarre and useless inventions. Each illustration had a description about each item. It was a real book, i remember enjoying the clever descriptions and all round quirkiness of the whole ordeal. I would then show the book to all my friends in each of my different 6th grade periods, giggling in the middle of class. WTF was that name of the book!? /i can only remember what it looked like, but the Title escapes me! The cover was mostly white, or maybe cool gray, and it would have had some of the illustrations on the cover as well. There might have been some shade of blue along the spine and the title area. Also! There was this cartoon i saw as a kid that i could not find despite my hours of google searching. It aired in the afternoon, early 90's, and it featured a baby dolphin/whale crying as it's mom was being captured by octopi or squid, hauled onto their whaling trawler. The octopi/squid even had whaler uniforms of sorts, more akin to striped beanies/skullcaps i think. And then my dad changed the channel on me, like a dick. I protested, and he looked me in the eye and said no. I was so heartbroken about that baby dolphin! What happened to its mom!? I've even tried going through the list of cartoons featuring dolphins on wikipedia, and that proved difficult as well. Was it a french cartoon? American? It was a good looking cartoon, something akin to anime, tiny toons, or disney afternoon styles... Has anyone else sen this piece of animation? That dolphin still haunts me.

A band of five or six people (male and female) from the 70s/80s who all wore masks. Their identity has never been revealed. I read the Wikipedia article on them in 2005 and have never been able to find them since. They would work in complete isolation and their land line had no ring tone, they'd organise their manager to call them at a specific time and they'd answer. Maybe that last sentence is something Kraftwerk used to do though.

I had this on a Pentium MMX PC around 1999 or 2000 and I had saved it from a cover disc or possibly something like a Launch Magazine CD (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Launch_Media) and I found these photos years ago from where the guy who worked on it was going to post about it, but never did. It would start out looking like on the first pic when you launched it, and spin around like one of those machines you strap into at the fair that spins you all around when you'd shoot at it. Made all kinds of plinky sounds if I remember correctly. I lost it when the HDD in that machine failed and I've never been able to find another copy of the files again. From here http://www.skyboy.com/steve/published/intel.html There's just the little bit there and no link to the files. Be pretty great to play with this in a VM Again.

I've posted about this in other white whale & identify this song threads for nearly a decade now, and still, bupkis. There's a song on my PC that I don't remember downloading: BOA - money.mp3 Googling the lyrics doesn't come up with anything. Shazam doesn't recognize it. I've looked through every band on Discogs with the name "Boa" and none of them have a song called "Money" or even including the word money. I've asked countless people and nobody has ever heard it. If anyone can actually find out who this is, what album it's from and where to buy it, I'll buy you a forums upgrade of your choice.

You guys have helped me before, perhaps I'll be lucky twice and you can help me remember a certain video game. I think it was a DOS or early Windows point and click adventure game. Fantasy medieval setting, but the real unique feature was that you had to eat and sleep, and I think there was a time limit for the main quest. I didn't play it very much but I'm dying to find it again.

1) There was a guy on Howard Stern referred to as Eric The Midget, and he briefly hosted a country show. One of the songs that he played went "kai-yai-diggy-diggy kai-yai-diggy-diggy hey HEY hey HEEEEEEYYYY" and I heard no actual word lyrics, lol. 2) There was this one game -- I think it was for Genesis -- but you navigated this..world, of some sort. You were in a tank or a ship or something, and you had to collect three of a specific kind of token or something, to gain a specific power. Cut me some slack, I was like 7, and I only ever watched my uncle play it.

An old isometric RPG game, roughly late 90s/early 00s? The only thing I remember about it was it had a narrated tutorial and at one point you were throwing some kind of explosive, and you could throw it at the spectators watching you and get chastised by the narrator for it.

I’ve always had this recurring dream of walking through this dimly-moonlit park/woods and it’s just like miles long. Nothing of significance ever really happens in these dreams but it seems significant and I feel comfortable/happy when I’m there. It’s very lush and green and pleasant there.
