Like Dances with Wolves aged poorly but I remember knowing a lot of people who were absolutely psyched at there being mainstream hollywood movies where we were depicted fairly positively. Costner putting his foot down on the suits wanting the FN actors to speak in english earned him hella brownie points, too.
