I feel like I’m a bad representative for trans people because I’m a loser shutin who doesn’t like doing stuff and prefers to nap with cats honestly i'd argue you're a good representative for trans people because you are a normal human who does boring normal human things, not whatever the hell bigots claim transpeople are. while protesting and activisim and community engagement and all that is important, it's also important to just be a normal-rear end person, the kind of person that makes people think "wait a minute, i work / am neighbors / relatives / whatever with Pollyanna and they sure seem pretty normal, why shouldn't they be treated like normal people?" i'm sure some of them will just file you under "one of the good ones" and continue to be lovely in general, but I still think it helps for a lot of less-awful people. like when my wife came out as trans to my family, my dad (who's normally fairly non-political but leans kinda-sorta-centrist-y and can be weird about certain things) was like "oh i work with a transperson and we get along great and they're completely fine and normal" and that was that, no problems at all.

pointless pontificating, but bein honest about one not being successful / bright / happy is important. if the only "right" representation was of people who were all smiles 100% of the time, it could lead to other people feeling invalidated, because they aren't happy/successful all the time. and the fact is, nobody is. being trans, or lgbtqia+ in general, is fuckin hard as hell. everyone's got their struggles. it's important to remember that. we all gotta be there for one another. social media's a gently caress about this sometimes because it can let people put only their best appearance out there. you don't see the daily struggles they have, just the moments they thought were worth sharing. i guess the short version is: not being what people call "normal" is normal. things ain't perfect. we're all human. do what you can for yourself and others. that's what matters.

I can't speak about the current controversy, but I wrote her off years back when she repeatedly volunteered to be the "good one" showing up to alt-right fundraiser events as a counterpoint voice in the room. Yes. Raise money for these dipshits. Great move. I'm just saying at some point the benefit of the doubt goes for me and one of these is "oops", two+ is "hey wait..."

went to deans office at uni with paper from psychologist to ask if it would be possible to change my name on lists, got response that it has to be a legal change to do anything and to gently caress off, cool, so when my tits start to grow and I wont be able to just crossdress I’ll still need to respond to my old name, this is gonna be fun, I hope i will keep up my fighting spirit or this is really gonna hurt. Studying in Poland is poo poo and i wish i could stop, but i already paid for this semester for fucks sake. I am not sure if i even menage to learn anything here when lectures are either just reading powerpoints out loud or rushing through everything so nobody understands nothing. Also people who already work in tech and asks to skip topics because they already know poo poo really piss me off.
