Wrestling is fake and dumb and doesn't hurt ever and is only enjoyed by babies with slime on their hands. It's also an incredibly beautiful artform that transcends its carny roots, and has led to some incredibly striking visuals that deserve recognition. I know we've got a gif thread, but that tends to gear more towards crazy spots and whatnot. I think this thread would be nice for the aesthetic side of wrestling, for those moments, gifs vids or photographs that capture the brilliancy of prograps in all its pageantry. Cool pictures! (Open in new tab for full size) Cool gifs! Cool videos! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WswcvsHW8N4 Riptide Wrestling has incredible production, but the first three minutes of this video (Cara Noirs Swan Lake entrance) is exemplary stuff. I dunno if this thread has legs or not, but it's my first on these here forums and I hope y'all can share some more cool bits of wrestling that hit you just right. Love this idea. Here is Okada breaking down in tears after losing against Tanahashi in the main event of Wrestle Kingdom 9 Wish I could find some bigger images of Ric Flair's entrance/exit at Wrestlemania 24 for his "lose and you can never wrestle in WWE again" match.

RIPTIDE! It's the best! Awhile ago, WWE did a series of re-edited Wrestlemania matches to have better cinematography called Wrestlemania Theatre. They looked really good. But when the Network was re-jigged to get rid of collections, they disappeared. Here's a few that got ripped on to youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1xDrKeAkso https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkvlOr__Aew https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGbr2piXA7o

gah. I love wrestling art. there are some insanely talented photographers out there showing off how beautiful wrestling can be. i also loving love character portraits. being able to convey who someone is as a performer in one single shot is beautiful. or in the case of a masked performer, just highlighting every aspect of their mask designs.

Legit one of the coolest guys going right now. also one of the most photogenic masked guys too and i just found out there's a non-black & white version of that photo that looks just as gorgeous. and a few more dope portraits. Beyond Gorilla's whole Instagram page is just superb.

CM Punk blowing a kiss to Vince McMahon. The storyline here was Punk was supposedly at the end of his contract but had talked himself into a title match at a PPV, and had bragged that if he won he was still going to leave WWE and take the belt with him. He won the match, the owner of the company freaked out and called in a guy with an open contract for a title match at ANY time to try and win the belt back but Punk took him out too and then paused before escaping through the crowd to blow the owner a kiss before disappearing into the adoring crowd with HIS belt. They absolutely blew the follow-up to this, but in the moment... goddamn it was good.

Now this is a good thread. If you'll indulge me for a quick image dump... Undertaker has had some great moments over the years. Moxley's short AEW career has already produced some gems. Also really love that shot fro the top pf the cell. As much as you can poo poo on Kevin Dunn, he has had some good shots over the years... ...And some amazing ones. They have had some good photographs as well. Rob Brazier's work with Progress has been consistently great. We can probably agree that NJPW are the current kings of kino. Best photo of AJ Styles, ever. The art of the handshake. Leave the memories alone. No explanation needed. My favorite wrestling photo of all time, William Regal's long shadow.

This is Steve Austin. Some of you may have heard of him. Beer drinking, stunner giving, toughest SOB etc. We all love the guy. This is Austin in 1996. And it's my favorite photo of him. He's still a heel, still raw untapped potential and frustration, fueding with Bret Hart, and he's... ....loving terrifying. Y'know who else is loving terrifying? Mil Muertes. As video-gamey as AEW has been, nothing they've done so far can top Mil Muertes watching on high from a Shang Tsung throne made from the skulls and bones of murdered wrestlers.

AEW cut together something similar to this for Lucha Bros v. Bucks in one of the Road-to's, which is something I wish they'd do more often. They're getting some great footage here and I wish we saw more of it in the product https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gn1oiWL0H8w&t=538s (timestamped to 8:58) Also speaking of AEW, Darby Allin is so, so good, and the shot of him crowdsurfing in a bodybag with MOX written on it is precisely my poo poo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giKQpf15PIY

It’s 2019 and I don’t know how to post pictures on the wrestling forum, so maybe somebody could help me out. One of my all time favourite images is of Roman on the ramp after beating Taker at Wrestlemania whatever. They had this cool purple lighting going on, which combined with the incredible stage and loving fireworks blowing up in the background resulted in this one amazing shot. The context of the moment wasn’t great, but good god that image was incredible.

One of my favorite shots of all time is shockingly a Kevin Dunn shot. Dean Ambrose is cutting a promo about how he wants to violently murder Seth Rollins after he betrayed The Shield, it's a tight shot, and behind Dean, Roman Reigns, who is pacing back and forth, slides into the shot background with an almost maniacal grin on his face. You know the one. Someone post that poo poo please.
