This sounds like a decent plan. My main issue with ACs is if it misses I'm just doing absolutely nothing and I hate it.

SHawk is the better of the lot there with SRM16 2 tons ammo, mlas, slas, 2 heatsinks and 5 jump jets. Remember ammo goes in the legs and jets go in the torsos (CT unless you've got a gyro).

I'm using the Shawk but it definitely still feels harder, I don't remember having any missions with 8 medium mechs attacking me together before for example, it's only two skulls!

Great, honourably decided to duel Bogdan ( The Steel Beast) and he jumped me. Tried to kite him with a coil-m assassin but the adds are too much. Can I leave the area and do another flashpoint until I find a better 50 tonner, or how do I beat this guy?!?

I used a hatchetman with an erl for ranged damage, max armor, and melee mods. It beat the poo poo out of him pretty easy. My ERL does 60 damage with higher heat than stock.

The Lyrans just want him dead. If you already made the flashpoint decision to fight him 1v1, load a prior save.

Just got a Marauder and lol it's hilarious with that called shot bonus. Everyone is dead y'all. Came up with this loadout and it just murders everybody: Gauss+ (-weight) LB 2-X++ (+dmg +crit) 2x ERML++ (+dmg) 3x DHS If I get more DHS and some ER PPC +dmg I might try those instead.

Managed to lose both an Archer and a Marauder on the final two missions of the new flashpoint campaign, both brawling when they shouldn't have been. I'll never learn, RIP Comanche and Chilli. The opposition in the final mission was really cool to fight, at least.

Sorry for asking a question that's been asked a hunred times before, but I'm a bit lost with how the ECM is supposed to work. The tutorial says that if the Carrier ends its turn, then all units within the field get protection, right? So I do this: 1) Mech A walks out of the field and fires, losing it's protecting 2) Carrier walks forwards to put mech A into its field and ends turn But Mech A doesn't get protection until the next round, after eating like 200 LRMs from everything in the last phase... Am I misunderstanding here? I read somewhere that I'm supposed to just use the ECM as an invisible spotter and nuke everything from a distance with LRMs, but that seems extremely dull.

I'm pretty sure that going into battles resets the event "clock" to zero (same as when you get an event). So if you want to chug through a lot of events, let time tick forward until you get an event before fighting a battle.

Attack and Defend is an insane clusterfuck lol holy poo poo. I took my Raven though and lol that the enemy base is five full sprints away minimum, and lol the Capellan defense is two locusts (who instantly exploded), a crab, and a Trebuchet against at minimum eight heavy and mediums.Lazyhound posted:Is there a mod to remove COIL weapons? The one I'm having problems with now is a capture so I don't think I can capture and then just withdraw without losing.

If you do career mode you can set the enemy lance configuration to easy and bump up some other stuff You get at least one piece of guaranteed salvage on a bad faith withdraw iirc (or just a few random pieces, so good chance anyway if that's all you killed), so shoot something in the head, leave, and loot it. I got the last piece of an assault super early last campaign that way lol

Came back in from release for the Heavy Metal pack, got all the DLC packs. Started a new career mode campaign and this COIL thing is hilarious. Question - is it possible to do all flashpoints on one save file, or are some if them mutually exclusive? If I want to have access to all of them should I be doing anything specific to mind my rep?

I just beat the main story for the first time, was not bad. But is Victoria impossible to headshot? I wanted that sweet King Crab, but spent five minutes kiting her doing called shots on the head, must have missed 20-30 shot at an 18% chance for each to hit, and never got a single one. It feels like that has to be a coded thing, because otherwise it's just statistically extraordinarily unlikely.
