I dunno why you guys seem to want Trump to have a stroke / heart attack / die in office. Even outside of the ghoulishness of it all, that's the ultimate get-out-of-consequences-free card for the GOP. They get to write everything off as "well, he was sick" and then turn him into a Reagan-esque conservative martyr. Nevermind how crazy and sticky the conspiracy theories will get. I want Trump nice and healthy for the next 12 months so he has no excuse but to drag the GOP kicking and screaming through impeachment and the 2020 election.

This thread has discussed the Trump stroke/heart attack a lot and it doesn’t seem like the people here want Trump to stroke out. We discuss it because it is important but I think the consensus was that no one wants to see Trump become a martyr. We don’t even want him to use it as an excuse to resign. Most of us are convinced Trump will be an anchor that drags the GOP down in 2020 so if he isn’t removed by the Senate, we want to see him ousted in the election.

Like is it a double whammy of stupid? any procedure risks the patient's life. Everything in medicine is a balance of risk and reward. There is absolutely no possible reward for this and nothing but risk. on top of the cruelty inherent in this for the mother, they're legally exposing healthcare providers who will be on the hook when some poor woman inevitably gets an infection from one of these ridiculous procedures, or gets like ashermann's syndrome and can no longer conceive. There's no way this goes anywhere. The AMA will poo poo all over them.

If it don't, then its the DEVILS DOING! Which means the mother has sinned. So jail for her. And the doctors, for not praying enough.

If (big if, but the polls show a gradually shrinking gap...) Labour win the upcoming UK election and noted socialist jam-making vegetarian grandad Jeremy Corbyn becomes Prime Minister, would that increase or decrease the odds of a Bernie vs Trump election in 2020?

Yay, accelerationism. Surely if the Republican Party do more and more horrible things, the American people will wake up and cast them out! Any day now. A medical resignation would be ideal. Republicans don’t have time to run primaries so they’d have to go with stuffed-suit Pence.
